This is the 2nd time i m upset. I failed phase 2CS balloting again. Words cannot describe my disappointment with the system. I am a parent with no connections to any school. I failed balloting at fengshan pri in phase 2C and failed again today at bedok green.

:hugs: Which distance category were you in? Which 3 schools will you consider now? Do put your child on the waiting list. Hopefully he'll be called to your first choice school before P1 starts. -
I m SC within 1km of fengshan, yuneng and red swastika and 1-2km of bedok green. Only 3 schs in bedok left with vacancies - east coast pri, damai and bedok west. They are all beyond 2km.

Oh no...sorry to hear abt that. I'm staying within 1km from Feng Shan Pri, Yu Neng Pri but I don't dare to go for these few as I know sure got balloting. -
Ya, i think we made the wrong choice as we thot as long as we avoid red swas and yuneng should be fine. 91 children competing for 82 vacancies and was hoping can stand a chance. Has anyone heard of east coast pri sch?

East Coast Pri is actually walking distance from my house. I heard from a parent that the principal is good but the CCA that this sch offers doesn't interest me and furthermore my girl wanted a girl's school so I chose St. Anthony's instead. -
Jejubear,
Sorry to hear. Not sure what your situation is. I read here there was this couple who chose a sch near where they worked, using alumni connections of course. Similarly, as a SC, you will be ahead of foreigners in Phase 3, so use this priority. Many schs nationwide with 100+ vacancies still. My personal favorite would be Balestier Hill, if i had to do it. Drop off my little piggy n start work real early. :yikes:
At lunch, pick him up n drop at student care in the area. In the evening, pick him up n commute home.
If a boys mission sch is still required, there's still Montford Jr. (which to me is pretty amazing.. There are very few boys sch... And ACS, SJIJ n CHS are virtually impossible.)
