        Hi sembgal

So ur k2 girl this nov take pre primary after that she will be in primary level when she turns p1…
Then when will she take exam again?
Why do u consider cstd? Since cstd exam is twice a year, so the child can actually opt for either time to do the exam. But unlike rad, only once a year. Miss that period and u have to wait right

The most ideal route should be (to meet the new age req'm for exams):

Taking exams in April when they are :
          P1 - primary exam
          P2 - Grade 1
          P3 - Grade 2
          P4 - Grade 3
          P5 - Grade 4
          P6 - Grade 5
          Nicnac...
          Question here.
If in the event apr 2014, p1 missed the primary exam
Can or do u know teachers teaches and prep p1 for grade 1 in apr 2015, p2?

I was thinking if can skip pre primary n do primary for p1 best.

            Hi

It is possible to skip grades or take double grades if a child is talented. Just approach your child’s ballet teacher for such request. Of course the teacher must have had the opportunity to assess your child for at least a year or so. If your girl is just starting ballet perhaps you could request for a trial class for the grade that you believe your girl can cope with. For a young child of 7 years or below just let them enjoy their lessons. Don’t get unduly stressed. If the child has talent anything is possible.

Yup, not necessary to take exams yearly… But I think Grade 5 exam is compulsory to proceed to the higher grades. Though, most teachers would want/require their students to take exams at least from grade 3 onwards.

Some schools require students to take twice a week lessons from grade 3 onwards… Others, at later grades. Some take double grades/exams… But those are usually the higher grades…

Please noted that RAD has changed the minimum age to take grade 1, therefore will need to check with the centre.

Hi ryes, so your gal now is in SBA doing Pre-Primary ballet? Or is she in another school doing Pre-Primary ballet?

                        Age: 3.5 to 4
School: No recommendations, as all are equally good.
