2013 P1 Registration Exercise for 2014 In-Take

I’m also a disappointing mum! Words cannot describe how disappointed I am when I’m voted out from yuneng in 2C. In 2Cs, when I know Bedok green need balloting, my heart just sank (sure no chance since its 1-2km).
End up just register with Damai.
No feedback from that school at all, I’m worried! -
Thanks to all for sharing. Really appreciate it.
Cyclonet: i understand, i couldn’t sleep when voted out of FS. I felt very guilty when i see my kid too.
Life has to go on…I am now considering east coast pri sch but there hasn’t been much info in forum about this school, same for damai and bedok west. Perhaps because the TUR is not high. I hope parents who know about these schs can share more with us. Thanks. -
Jejubear:
Hi! I feel for u cos u sounded like a friend of mine who went thru the exact same balloting schools like u and failed both times. In the end she chose east coast primary. She says the school is ok and wouldn't mind putting her younger kid there when time comes. Thanks to all for sharing. Really appreciate it.

I heard frm a principal that actually East Coast Pri is in the same cluster as Tao nan, ngee ann so they hv alot of program exchanges & penpal program…etc etc…
There is an official fb page too… -

Jejubear:
I m SC within 1km of fengshan, yuneng and red swastika and 1-2km of bedok green. Only 3 schs in bedok left with vacancies - east coast pri, damai and bedok west. They are all beyond 2km.
That's truly unfortunate. It's getting very competitive nowadays and way before Pri 1 even start. I would consider east coast Pri since its relatively near opera estate Pri and could share similar demographic of students etc international. Bedok west is in a relatively newer part of Bedok. Not very sure about Damai. Personally, my phase 2cs school choices were Balestiar Hill and Monfort Junior. I would consider school that has the most vacancies, taking account the estimate of parents balloted out in phase 2cs in Bedok area. All the best. Praying that Fengshan calls you to give your child a place soon! God less :hugs: -
gvyong:
I agree that Montfort Junior is an amazing school too. There is a strong PV inside and I have heard good remarks about the school from my relatives as well.Jejubear,
Sorry to hear. Not sure what your situation is. I read here there was this couple who chose a sch near where they worked, using alumni connections of course. Similarly, as a SC, you will be ahead of foreigners in Phase 3, so use this priority. Many schs nationwide with 100+ vacancies still. My personal favorite would be Balestier Hill, if i had to do it. Drop off my little piggy n start work real early. :yikes:
At lunch, pick him up n drop at student care in the area. In the evening, pick him up n commute home.
If a boys mission sch is still required, there's still Montford Jr. (which to me is pretty amazing.. There are very few boys sch... And ACS, SJIJ n CHS are virtually impossible.) -
Jejubear:
Hi Jejubear, life has to go on. Register your child in a primary school first and put your child on waitlist for your preferred schools. Concentrate on grooming your child well. Be it a talent or academics. There will come a day when a place from your preferred school is offered to your child but that day may not be within this year. Look on the brighter side. Love yourself and your child even if you have failed in Phase 2C and 2Cs. :snuggles:Thanks to all for sharing. Really appreciate it.

I heard Opera Estate is also a not bad school but not sure whether has a place. Unfortunately it is very inside and not very convenient unless you drive.
