:congrats: Happy for you & your girl!I went for balloting in Marymount and was successful..phew! Thank you for all the support from this forum when I was going through all the uncertainties. Sharing from and with fellow parents really helped

Can understand the frustrations and disappointments for those who got balloted out even at phase 2Cs. Keep strong and do not lose hope. Our child will eventually thrive with all our love, perseverance and support for them, in whichever school they are placed. And if you feel the current sch is really not the place for your child, put your child on wait list in the preferred schools. You never know when there may be a place available for your child

Haha! Maybe 2 of you end up in the same Marymount class
That'll be super nice! My gal is loving the idea of an all-gals school. Guess she's at the age where boys are irritating and rough at play!
BTW, can I ask if can start putting on waitlist or must wait until phase 3 is all over? Need to go down personally to the school? My friend is not successful at MCS so looking at IJ (TP) or St Marg or RGPS to put on waitlist, but of course, she'll secure a school with vacancies for now. Which other gals' school are likely to have vacancy? Don't think should bother thinking of MGS or SNGS! Of course, she will put her name for Marymount waitlist too. But not sure if there'll be vacancies this year, likely may be next year if any.
Thanks for the advice! -
Can put on waitlist - more than 1.
Some of the schools you mentioned > 15 on waitlist already.
Nanyang - quite a long list now.
No need to wait until phase 3 over. Now, can - if your already enrolled into a primary school.
Download transfer request form from school website, fill it up, then submit.
Attach any achievement supporting documents your child have.
Eg: participated in k2 kindergarten storytelling, if any.
Or attach swimming cert (if any) - if yr child had started competitive swimming training, since k1.
If your child can draw very well, can attach some pieces of childβs art drawing, show to principal.
Once past 2014 p1 term 4 -
Attach childβs p1 results, if continue to waitlist, beyond p1.
Normally, p1 / p2 not much withdrawal. P3 onwards - yes. -
Hi phtthp,
How to check no of pax in waitlist? -
patlsy79:
need to call up the school you interested to transfer, to inquire.
How to check no of pax in waitlist?
example:
you can call up Fairfield Methodist & ask - how many people on waitlist now ? -
Has anyone encounter sch that accepts waitlist only at a later date in sep? I was told they r still processing those who were balloted out in this intake. All other waitlist will have to hold on till sep for next yr admission.

sweetbaby:
Thanks sweetbaby! I went for ballot in SCGS as it was the only sch within 1km but was balloted out. They do not allow wait list until next year. Your cousin also successful? Congrats to her. It was sooooo stressful! Even more so than SCGS I think coz the choice left would be even fewer after phase 2CS. I can really empathize with those who were balloted out. Felt soooo bad for them

What was your phase 2c preferred school? Will you be putting your child on waiting list? My cousin too balloted successfully into MC in phase 2cs.

Thanks icy_mama!! I was so nervous it took me 3 times to spot my girl's name on the list to know her ballot number. I even asked the teacher how come my daughter's name not there!! :? Haha.
congrats, piglet18!! finally can heave a big sigh of relief. :rahrah:piglet18:
