Fyi, If the child does not meet the standard....the ballet teacher might not sign her up for the RAD exam....micollh:
can i ask, since pre primary & primary are not compulsary why need to take?
To give the kids exposure and prepare them for actual RAD grading at G1. -
So far, only one gal in my gals’s previous class did not do the exams (pri, g1 and g2) with the rest of the class.
She did fine… She had no problem with the dance routines. The teacher, at every lesson, will still hv to ensure that the gal gets her moves and positions correct. Her responsibility as a teacher, right? Except, maybe nearing the exams, teacher may be more strict with the rest of the girls instead.
She will not be allowed to skip the next exam (g3), so the teacher said. I guess, when the time comes for her to take her first exam (g3)… The teacher will make sure she is ( the whole class in fact ) must be good enough/ready to pass her(their) exams for that level. The only disadvantage for that gal, I guess will be the lack of examination experience.
Hmm, the transition from g1 to g2 is not big… I heard, the big jump in difficulty is at grade 3… -

It is the responsibility as a teacher to teach but it also depend whether the child could follow the routine or not.So far, only one gal in my gals's previous class did not do the exams (pri, g1 and g2) with the rest of the class.
