[quote=\"mummy OnABudget\"]extended school hours till 1500 from mon to thrus till 1700 on fri my ds wans to faint already
I suppose these extended hours r for revision? Can dun show up? If need a reason, just says timing clashes with private tuition. Private tutor is mother. -

F PSLE. My DS just told me that he usually rush through his math paper because of the time.[/quote
I heard that children who are diagnosed with learning disability are asked by the school whether they would like to apply for time extension.
Some months ago, ah boy came home to ask me whether he needs time extension. I was like :? He then told me the FT asked the class to approach him if they needed time extension.
A friend whose child is diagnosed to be ADHD decided against time extension when asked by the sch.
Is your boy a diagnosed case?[/quote
He's not diagnosed with ADHD but is going through Occupational Therapy sessions. However the diagnosis early this year does not indicate any need for him in terms of time mgmt. But now thinking if the psychologist may be able to help. But still need to know if it's too late to apply as it's just a month away.. -
No harm asking…

Just hope psle come to an end soon.beariecrystal3:
The school are stressing out the children.
I can tell you it is unbearable to continue supplementary lessons after school.
Already tired after a long day...followed by more lessons in hot and humid classroom. There is homework like sets of past year paper. -
The PSLE will come to an end…and you will get to let go of that stress.
But I remember when we were running at the peak last year…then when the whole exam was over, we were still at that high…at a loss what to do. The feeling was that of ‘burnt out’.
Balance both you and your children’s energy and emotions from now. But importantly strike a balance…when you see your kids mentally tired, give him/her that break from supplementary lessons especially after the prelims.
All the best. -

Am surprised the sch teacher did not inform you about time extension since your boy's case is known to her.
Do call her asap to find out if still can apply n how to apply.
