Hi Jacsplace,Just read the TripAdvisor reviews on Brinchang hotels. All the reviews quite negative, compared with those on Tanah Rata hotels.
I'm thinking of booking Strawberry Park Resort as it's the only one that seems to offer airport transfers, can book taxi to Tanah Rata town and has its own tours of the area. All chargeable of course, but no choice as we don't drive.
Can share with us after e trip? Am also thinking of same itinery as you... Enjoy ur holidays! -

Nice blog. Saw your kota tinggi trip in your blog. Which resort did you stay? Is it rainforest resort?
Re: Century Pines
We stayed there a couple of years ago.
You can refer to the blog entry I put up. The room was huge and very spacious.

However, I am not sure of if the rooms are well maintained. You know that in general, the country isn't big on maintenance.
Brinchang is like 15 to 20 min drive away, depending on traffic. -

Just came back from KL, Cameron Highlands and Genting.
Would like to share about CH trip… not very happening… We arranged a mini bus (5 adults and 3 kids) to CH and took us almost 4 hours… Strawberry farm and bee farm are huge disappointment!! Tea farm also nothing much although the scenery is good. Weather wasn’t cold at all. We heard that CH is no longer cold anymore because many trees have been chopped off.
We stayed in Century Pines… there’s a small town within walking distance but mostly malay/indian food. nothing much to shop or see… Only more comforting thing is the breakfast served at the hotel was not bad.
All in all, I think this is going to be my first and last trip to CH. -
Hi,
Going Cameron Highland this weekend by coach. Just wonder if we can buy their potted plants back to spore or not… -
CH is really just for the laidback style of living
nothing seriously to excite u
wat i miss most there is the steamboat in the evening… its really shiok
oh and bringing back plants is not a problem… -
June is not a cooling month for Cameron Highland. Only nite time then cold. I went 2 yrs ago also not cold, only at nite cooling.
I find Cameron highlands ok leh. Maybe I stayed at Brinchang area and self drive. Most attractions and markets are at Brinchang area.
I like the night market there. We walked to the night market daily and find things there cheap. We bought strawberries and sweet corns back. Their sweet corns no need cook one, just eat it raw very sweet. I remember 4 boxes of strawberries at RM10 and many sweet corns for RM10 also.
We stayed 3D2N and find overall very relaxing. I don’t mind to go back again if got chance. -
Anyone stayed at Moonriver Lodge? Any feedback :please:?

We came back from a short trip to Cameron Highlands. We booked the same hotel (Hotel De La Fern) and we have no complains about the place. Only thing is that my advice is not to go to Cameron during the Malaysian school holidays. We encountered traffic jams during the trip. This was due to cars stopping to park their cars along the narrow roads at the road side markets.
We had a memorable drive up Gunung Brinchang. At 2032 m, it is the second highest mountain in Cameron Highlands. The road up to the Mossy Forest was narrow and winding. We have to park one side for vehicles coming from the other direction. This road is the highest paved road in Malaysia. While we were there at the forest, the clouds are passing by and it was quite an interesting feeling to be "in" the rain. My son finally had a chance to pick strawberries at a farm on the way down this time. -
Any good location and reasonably priced hotels to recommend? Plan to go in Dec holidays with parents n kids…
