Out of interest, JustKP - which consortium is ur DS in?
I checked with my DS, he doesn't hv this paper.

He is from ProEd.

As stated in the paper, it is for students with A/A* in PSLE chinese and it is opened to all consortium. Lesson is on every Monday 2.10 to 3.40pm.

I think most, if not all students in HCI get A/A* in PSLE Chinese lar ...

Yes majority get A in PSLE chinese. My DS also in Pro-Ed but don’t have this additional subject. Do they teach something different or focus on a particular aspect such as composition?

Hi My DS is also in PRo-Ed, but he decided not to take up. Otherwise, almost everyday can only reach home by 6pm.

Yes my DS told us that the students can follow the parents. I was told we are meeting the FT.

ya my DS told me that too. But it seems it's just an informal gathering before the talk so I wonder how the teacher can manage all the parents at the same time. I can imagine all the parents are excited and many parents would have questions to ask. Any ex-Sec 1 parent around to share on last year's symposium?[/quote]Yeah, I had sent an email to the FT to establish the line of communications. Think a lot of parents will be asking lots of questions. May not be fruitful since the FT will not know the students well in 3 weeks.

Oh I just checked with DS and he said he opt out because it clashes with other lessons. Now already stay back for 2 days and RS starting next week. When CCA begins, think probably stay back every day...
