DS told me that his FT informed them today that Listening Comprehension will start at the same time so the school won't wait for them even if they have diarrhoea and have to go to toilet.

So we must be careful on what we feed our kids for their breakfast this Friday šŸ˜“

DS has started throwing books he's completed. He's so happy about it, probably cos it feels like another step along the milestone. šŸ˜„ it's been quite a journey for our kids this year. I wish the best of health to all of them at this crucial period šŸ™‚

this period of time, it's better to eat more home-cooked meals...at least you are sure of food handling.

Actually my point is.. every parent and every kid has their own expectation. Parents and kids sometimes also have different standard. It is ok to set a certain level of expectation but as adults, we have to exercise sensitivity when we speak in public. As I mentioned, there are upper primary kids around when the woman spoke at the top of her voice ( like me, they did not choose to hear but can't help it). You should see some of the kids' faces. Honestly, 25x may be not a good score for parents aiming high but how many of us can really agree that 25x is a VERY LOUSY SCORE?

Let us not put unneccesary pressure on other DC. šŸ˜„

If my DD manage to score 250, I will called for a celebration. šŸ˜‚ And you will see me smiling for one whole month. Sometime i really wonder why parents expection are higher and higher. A score of 250 is a very wonderful score.

Yes Yes!! Same for me! I will be so thrilled and start buying gifts for every family member!

Oh no! please bring him to a doctor. Besides ample rest, there is no time for self medication.

As what happyheart mentioned, every parent/child has their own expectation. Eg. Kids who are doing consistently well (ESP in good schools) ....one would naturally expect more from them. Expectation for different child can differ as well. So it really depends on the child's ability & performance so far, as long as it's realistic......

And I agree, should be sensitive to other DCs.
