Hi All…another newbie kiasu parent here…
My gal born in 2009…will be P1 in 2015.
Based on current policy, are we given priority if we are staying less than 1km (staying 195A periwinkle) within EFPS?
Is there a yrly openhouse for EFPS?
Any experienced parents to adviss me?
Thanks. -
For your question on less than 1 km priority, it depends on situation.
For instance, suppose the school has 50 vacancies for a particular phase and there are more than 50 applicants for the places offered, SCs will be given absolute priority over PRs and foreigners.
Scenario A: If there are less than 50 SC applicants living within 1 km, all the applicants will get in without balloting.
Scenario B: If there are more than 50 SC applicants living within 1 km, then all applicants living outside 1km will be turned away and those living within 1km will undergo balloting.
Hope this helps.
So far, there has not been any news about an open house for EFPS but the school had Breakfast with Potential P1 parents twice, once in May and once in July. Maybe you can check with the school itself to see if there's any more of such sessions or if they will have an open house. I doubt that they will have any more this year so as the P1 registration has already started. However, since your girl is going in only in 2015, then, you can plan ahead based on their calendar!mindbox33:

Hi … I might be crazy here but starting to enquire more on this school for my 2011 twins.
Cos I need not only 1 slot but 2 slots! for both of them… Which makes it even more worrying given the latest balloting hoo-ha.
Any twins mummy can share their experience enrolling into this pri sch ?
My new place all be 1-fence away from edgefield pri … -

Hi Parents, I have few old/used "S" size Edgefield Primary School T-shirt uniforms.
My son was graduated from Edgefield on 2012, so I want to donate them out instead of throwing them away.
Any taker please PM me. Thank you -

What I know is that twins are counted as 1 slot. You don't need 2 slots. -
Hi, my boy is in P1 this year 2014. Anyone else with kids in P1 this year?
-
Hi, i just registered my son under phase 2C today 31 July 2014. So far already exceeded 5 as available vacancies are 124. Now worrying it may end up balloting.
Edgefield primary’s forum is very "quiet" if compare to Horizon… hope more parents can join in for their school expects discussion!!! -
Edgefield is no longer popular.
Parents with exsisting child studying in this school are avoiding to register their 2nd or 3rd child to this school.
