For some reason, DS asked me this morning if I am going out today. When I answered no plan and asked him why, he simply said \"good, I want to see you when I get home\". Weird? :scratchhead:

no wierd... cos your presence is his \"power\". :grphug:

Just curious, how many parents teach their DC guess n check?

and how many are using assumption method, instead of guess and check?

if your child is still using guess and check, I suggest using assumption method which is much faster. I was surprised that some schools still teach guess n check method and not assumption.

P3 and P6 DS are both taught using Guess and check. Assumption only for P6 at this stage. BUT...it is very much like 'touch and go', no depth in developing further skill. Guess and Check is very tedious and most teachers do not encourage this method during exam.

The assumption method shld be learnt well.
