2013 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Thank you! your sharing is indeed helpful! I have not even thought of the above experiment!About 5 weeks ago I did experiment with PLUS Whiper correction tape (the blue colour one). I put under a heavy stack of paper (in cool dark place) to check whether the tape will peel off or not. Yesterday I checked and it didn't peel off from the paper :boogie:
We used JetStream pen and the writing under the correction tape didn't re-appear too.
One thing I realized is that this correction tape is thin so I can still see the shadow of what was written under the correction tape. However, we will still use this correction tape because DS is used to it already and I didn't check other correction tape.
Disclaimer: We have no connection at all with PLUS Whiper correction tape and JetStream companies. Result may vary due to production batches and environment where the PSLE papers are stored. Use at own risks. -

My dc's school has stopped giving homework since the September holidays. School days are spent going through the practice papers and psle booklets they had done earlier. So there is much free time to do own revision. It's a good arrangement for those who have help at home. My dc gets to practise some top schools' 2013 prelim papers I have selected. Last day of remedial lesson is today. Then it's light revision and relaxation before the big days.Does you children still have supplementary class in school this week? DS still needs to go back on Mon and Wed. I'm surprised school still wants supplementary class on Wed when Thur is the exam.
DS has so many papers to do that we dont really have time to \"revised\". As in, go through those papers that he did and revised to ensure he remember his mistake.
I wonder if this is the strategy for all the school in doing endless amount of papers.
Do prepare healthy food and cooling tea for your kids and ensure they have enough rest. My dc's classmate contracted HFMD early last week. He might have missed the LC. Thank God he didn't pass the virus around. Hope he will get well soon to sit for the psle. -

Same here, loads of papers & worksheet. Since DD is strong in Maths, since last week i have asked her to skip the Maths MCQ & short questions. As for the long questions, browse & skip whatever she thinks is easy/can handle. Similarly, to skip the copying of compositions. Save some energy & time for revision & more rest. -

No more supp class from this week onwards. Anyway, DH and I have decided what needs and can be done would be done by now. There is not a lot we can squeeze into him in just a few days' time.Does you children still have supplementary class in school this week? DS still needs to go back on Mon and Wed. We will not pile him with additional papers but just to ensure he is emotionally and physically healthy for the coming exam. I have, however, arranged Maths tutor to just
work through some questions with him.
We are keeping the faith that he is ready and he will perform to his best ability, and whatever outcome it is, we will accept and love him just as we do now.
Now, looking forward to our short trip next week

Today is DS's last supplementary class. For the past 2-3 weeks he only needs to spend 1 hour to do at home everyday so I guess his school is at another extreme :scratchhead:Does you children still have supplementary class in school this week? Your child's school is doing the right thing, they must have a relax mind at this point of time. My son still have supp. lessons today and tomorrow, still doing practice paper everyday.............the school is gone crazy................ can the government do anything about this :yikes:

Just curious, is supplementary class optional? I heard that some schools allow their students to opt out. Just need their parents to sign some forms.

DD was told by her teacher not to use correction tape at all means. for any error, just cancelled it neatly.
