Some years ago, my dc's form teacher told them psle questions are based on schools' prelim papers for the same year. Schools are required to submit their prelim papers for SEAB to assess as candidates who are unfit to take the psle will have their t-score based on their school prelim exams. Thus they must be of an acceptable standard. From these prelim papers, SEAB will select some questions from various schools and pool them to be the psle questions. Hence parents were rushing to get the top school papers just in case there are difficult ones that might appear in the psle. Anyone has heard about this?

I thought that PSLE Papers are set a few years before the exam(according to my DC)? :scratchhead:

Your child's school is doing the right thing, they must have a relax mind at this point of time. My son still have supp. lessons today and tomorrow, still doing practice paper everyday.............the school is gone crazy................ can the government do anything about this :yikes:

You can always decide that your son will not attend. The final decision is the parent's. And at this stage, the teacher is unlikely to mark the papers anyway.

John, do you use a lot of correction tape too such that you need the 28 metres one? πŸ˜‰ DS uses a lot of correction tape :faint: I think he had used more correction tape that I had used in my whole life (including the liquid type that we used last time).

dd still doing her homework now - Just finished chinese, now doing Science and later will do math hw. She said her teachers will be going thru tmr. She still has supp class on Wed the eve of the first PSLE paper.

I remember 2 years ago, when ds was staking his PSLE, all supp classes stopped the week before PSLE.

                  Don't know why the change?

can't help feeling worried like I haven't revised enough with dd due to too much work from sch.

DS has no homework today. He said there is only Maths Paper 1 homework and he finished it in between classes in the school. After reading all the parents’ concern about too much homework, I am happy the school gave very little homework.

that's good. For ds school, parents voiced their concern. School said noted but still continue giving homework. I suppose each teacher gives a little bit but not realising that the other teachers also give their share and so a little bit becomes quite alot.

Me too.... feeling very worried... no time for any revision at all... πŸ˜“
My DD sup class ended at 430pm today, started her hw from 7 pm and now still doing sch hw.

Trying very hard not to show my \"worried look\". All we could do is to be there for our DC emotionally and keep them healthy πŸ˜‰
