Parents & pupils staying in the west are fortunate, if they happen to study in any of these schools / college / university. Those staying in the west - no need to shift house.

Provided parents' work place are in the west or central. How to stay in the west if parents are working in the east?

There are bound to be some parents here, that are very rich.
Some of these rich parents are - humble.
Some of them are surgeons from top hospital, yet they remain humble.
Perhaps due to family upbringing values taught, since young.
On the other hand - there are also some parents here, a bit Atas.
It depend on who you mix with.

Normally, the mgs pupils themselves don't compare wealth.
Some pupils stay in condo, some also stay in Hdb.

But once come in mgs -
be prepared to participate / help out in fund raising, often.
Mgs after all, is the female version of acs.

can i check if any parents stay in woodlands but send their dg to mgs? is the distance far? got sch bus?

May contact these 2 school bus drivers directly.

They will inform you whether or not have school bus go to woodland, to fetch kids to mgs. And costs of school bus fees (based on current rate ), if they do have a route to woodlands.

Read point number 9.
For cca -
Sch bus fetch girls living in those areas, specified / defined.

If stay too far, sometimes, they may not.
You need to clarify, with them, directly.
(Example :
my friend stay in upper changi.
for cca days, there is no school bus transport to upper changi.
My friend has to settle transport herself, on those affected cca days, for her 2 girls)

My gal will be joining MGPS in P1 next year. Can someone tell me when is the orientation and whether any official letter for orientation has been sent out?
Though I have an older gal in P3 this year, I am considerably new as my DD1 was transferred to MGPS this year.

Hi Lalamum, was told orientation is 16 November. I have not rec any orientation letter.

School bus from Woodlands picks kids up ard 6 am in the mornings and drops them back by 2.30 pm. You will realise that the 6 am pick up time is not bizarre as kids staying in Clementi area are also picked up ard that time since the bus picks up more kids in that area. There is no cca bus to Woodlands. So, you should make alternative arrangements.
