All About Full-Time Maids

FHP:
My husband is also like that, always side the maid, keeping silent or stopping me from scolding her. After a while, I got tired arguing with him over the maid. And of course the maid must be happy the kind-hearted Sir is always protecting her. That's one of the reasons I got rid of my maid who worked for me for only 1 yr 4 mths. Now I am happy without the maid.
:slapshead: :slapshead:
How can your hubby side the maid :slapshead:TheAnswer:
Sharing same fate. Was  .
For those with problem w maid, do your dh side with u or with maid ?
For issues on things lost, clothing, my children's book, missing food.
DH's reasoning is that if he also told the maid off, the maid will quit.
I just need him to support me so that maid will realize that it is an issue.
When DH kept silent, it seem that I am at wrong, picking on maid.
This also one of the reason why we always has maid problem and to maid, I am the evil employer since kind-hearted Sir emphasize with them.
Don't understand man.
So much empathy for maid welfare but expect the wife to the super woman who help to bring back bacon, children well taken care of, good results, good manners, house clean, etc.
Wife stay up late to do everything is ok but maid must go to bed early.
Our husband are not the only ones. Got friends also face same situation though there is some smart husband also.
Wife is permanent, maid is temporary.
Happy woman = happy wife = happy family.
Dunno why this logic is difficult for hubby ?
Oh, by the way, my smart hubby chose this PSLE period to has 4 party quarrel...him, me, PSLE dd and maid purposely ignore some routine works to challenge me... very messy...
Luckily PSLE dd insensitive nature saved her, she don't care or the quarrel seem not to bother her. I also pack her out to study for this few days.
No matter what, it is not a happy family now and bad to leave for my trip with this emotion in Thu. -
Oh I have met a guy who really stand by his wife when it comes to maid issues. He says if maid can’t perform to his wife standards and makes his wife unhappy, it will also piss him off. So he will sack the maid. BUT the wfe is not working. So he can fire maid just like that. If both husband and wife working then I don’t think its easy to find a husband like that.

My situation slightly different lei…
As i work full time, and am in-charge of everything abt dc, esp academics (dh totally hands off), my priorities are taken up by work and dc. So i tend to close 1/both eyes at times when it comes to maid issues, simply becos i dun hv the time & energy to go after them. Of course i am referring to not so serious matters. And changing maid is a real hassle and a financial toll so i try to lun as much as i can.
DH, on the other hand, is practically "stressless" after work. So he will nit-pick on the maid. But worse, he will come complaining to me and expects me to handle them as well. Sometimes feel like throwing the vase at him… Lolx -
Hi, any good maid for transfer? My current maid will go back while finishing the contract very soon. We need a new maid.
We are a Chinese family with 2 adults ( Working Parents) + 2 Children ( 11 years Boy and 5 Years Girl). General housekeeping and dinner cooking for working days ( Monday to Friday) are the main jobs. The maid will have her own sleeping room.
If you have any recommendation, please kindly let me know ( SMS to 96192206) .
Thank You! -

I emphasise with u. I have the same fate as u. My hub always side the maid, do the things she didnt do when its her job, not just minor things. Talk to her very nicely. N also expect me to serve her medicine when she purposely didnt take despite my many reminders. Maid has little things to do, rest whole afternoon, sleep early, while I am the one slogging n rushing from waking up very early morning to late at night. I am more like the maid. I told hub off, always quarrel with him. I just told him hands off issues with maid.Sharing same fate. Was  .

Having same story as all the friend out there, I thought I am alone sailing in this boat but found in this forum many more, since the maid is new wife is expected to train her and teach her everything (almost made me feel like having an additional kid on top of 3 kids)
The super duper maid talks back , argues on the pregnant wife .when asked not to put earphones and listen music and chatting with friends whole day while working goes to extent of smashing wife's I-phone with wooden stick dh keeps amazingly quiet. Which gives more liberty to maid who some more can tell wife that \"madam it was your fault that you left the phone on dining table\" :frustrated:
dh who usually pinpoints every mistake anyone makes in house and gets frustrated even if his hp is misplaced for few seconds still thinks to give her a chance , not want to get involved between wife and maid as his friends advice to stay away and let wife handle these ladies matter . Lastly the maid exits after the issue and handed over to police , that also done by wife
so if you have family back up or support you can go on to hire full time trouble -
Can anyone tell me if the health check which maids have to go through before the employer picks them up include a pregnancy test? Please advice.
I noticed my helper vomitting once last week and once just now. I hope she is not pregnant. -
Yes. The check up includes pregnancy check if im not wrong.
