Traffic at NYGS, NJC & RGPS @ Bkt Timah Rd & Eng Neo
-
EN:
:faint: When will that be? So far so good. Even though we are stuck at Eng Neo my dd still make it in time. Her school starts at 7.20am. She arrives at 7.17am. Cool right. No wonder my heart has been pumping so hard.
Not sure, rumours is that construction will start in 2010.
In your opinion, will the constrcution affects only HCI side or NJC/RGPS/NYGH side as well ? -
VitoRelax:
you can go LTA website to download the station plan.. so far does not indicate there will be exit at NJC / NYGH /RGPS Watten sideNot sure, rumours is that construction will start in 2010.

therefore must climb the overhead bridge
the ground condition there is super soft
construction method is dig and cover, no tunneling, will be messy, esp for the residents. soil test investigation is almost complete -
VitoRelax:
traffic condition is now back to normal liao ..... alternate between bad and very badThurs traffic is okay.
But how come no one updates this thread anymore ?
once school holidays start, it will be abnormally smooth flowing -
Time: this morning at ~ 7.50 am
Location: Just after Namly Ave exit into Bukit Timah Rd
Vehicles involved: grey van xxx5454x and another car
The van turned from Namly Ave and tried to cut into the right most lane (Lane 1) to make a U turn into Bukit Timah Rd towards NGHS/NJC. There was already a long queue in Lane 1. Another car also turned from Namly Ave and queued up behind the van.
In doing what they did, they blocked Lane 2 and the traffic in that Lane going forward, causing traffic to choke up behind them.
There are 3 lanes on this side of the road.
At this section, many cars use Lane 3 (left most lane) to drop off their charges;
Lane 1 is for cars making U turns to the other side of the road; and
Lane 2 is effectively the only lane left for fast moving traffic.
If two of you are reading this, please be considerate, kindly refrain from repeating what you did this morning so as to help to keep traffic flow smoothly.
There is another U turn ~ 400 m from where u were that u can use to avoid blocking lane 2. -

This happens in the evening as well, and last year, they managed to have an accident because those shooting out from Namly could not brake in time and hit those waiting for U-turn into Dunearn from Bukit Timah, at the same spot u mentioned above
Hwa Chong is Bukit Timah Road, NYGH / NJC side is Dunearn Road -

was there ard 6.55 this am, noticed the long Qs on lanes 1 & 2.
been dropping off my girl at HCI bus stop and let her cross to the other side using o/head bridge, to avoid the Qs at the U-turns and NJC bus stop.
older topic: anyone tried turning fm CTE(southbound) into Bkt Timah Rd ard 6.45 am. ? -

It is at Hwa Chong opposite Bourganvella Park. Even after crossing the bridge, quite a fair bit to walk ....

I hate this type of selfish drivers. Unfortunately there are quite a number of them, very irritating.Time: this morning at ~ 7.50 am
