      winniegal:
Based on the assessment test that was conducted for him prior to the admission, he was allowed to advanced to intermediate class. According to them, he is one of the few who is able to do so as he scored very well for the test. The tester was very impressed by him 😉 he is now in advanced class n la able to read confidently 😉

      Wow! that's so great!

Did u hv to pay for the assessment test?

Hmm my son just turned 3 in June but he is able to sound out all the alphabets already so I'm wondering if the class I signed up wld be a waste of time.

Their course fees is quite standard I think.

$320/10 lessons of 1 hr each. $50 registration fees and $5 material fees per term. Have placed my K2 boy there for a few lessons, will probably put my girl who is turning 4 this yr from June onwards.
So far so good. The only complaint is tt I feel 1 hr is a bit short for English enrichment compared to e norm of 1.5 hrs at other centers.

                      Hi,

This thread seems quite. Anybody has comment for Seletar Hills branch? Is Jan and Elly a pure phonics program? Do they have any activities like reading along? and do they teach sight words?

                      Thanks.

                        Hi,

My girl has been attending classes at the Seletar Hills branch for some time now. they teach phonics for n2 - k2 i think. There is reading along and they also cover sight words. I find the programme quite easy to understand and good and my girl loves the teachers and staff there. after a few months, i find that she is able to read better and is even want to read to me as forcing me to read to her. i found out about them thru their pop-up class last year. u can ask and call them to see if they have more pop-up class or not. quite cheap and good way to try their class one time to see if your girl like.
