Thanks hmmum for your reply.....right now just to hope for the best.....do u happen to know how many got retained last year? Dhs mostly probably dun retain many of them......u know when we can know the final result? Dd said next week as usual doing pw stuffs.....Tia
Hi Bedokid, my ds1 in yr 5. Heard from him that some papers are set at A level standard. His results is ok to promote to yr 6, but some of his good friends also do not meet the promotion criteria. But I think everything is not confirm yet as there will be some moderation and still have to combine with the past common test results. Final results still not known yet.Bedokid:
Hi Augmum
Appreciate your concerns and also your efforts to always keep this thread alive....I believe that's also some yr 5 students' parents here , do share with me how your dc performed. Dd said she will see how the overall results and moderation first then decides what to do next....last nite she still could joke that i looked like more worried than her.... :stupid:
I understand that last year also same thing happened, a lot of them did not meet the promotion criteria for the promo exam, but after combining with the past CT results and with moderation, most of them promote to yr 6. So not to worry too much now, just wait and see how it goes.
Best wishes for your dd. -

Hi Bedokid, I don’t know how many get retained. But those seniors that ds1 knows who did not make it in promo exam, they still get promoted to yr 6.
I don’t know when we can know the final result, may be next week, because all lectures/lessons will end by next Friday. After that will be SH holiday, and the Yr 5 students have to prepare their PW final report, oral presentation etc. -

I still hope to believe that after the moderations.....most pupils will be promoted... -
Thanks hmmum and Augmum. My heart feels lighter now.....

Year 1 TRP paper is back today and DS did not do well for this paper. Can any one advise how will this affect his overall performance?

My dd said mark from this paper as well as the project will be added to each subject for CA2 (not EOY). As to how many % for each subject and the details, she is also not too sure! -
Can anyone advice on quitting of third lang at this point of time or perhaps later for year two? I dont think my GPA will be enough to take 9au and my third lang grade barely passed so can anyone advice on when and how to quit third lang? thanks!

Hi Augmum,
I also wish that more DHS parents do come forward to share abt their kids' stuff / happenings in DHS....
But seems that there are very few DHS active parents around....
i asked abt the feedback from Yr4 parents regarding the recent LA paper... there's no response...
i rmb one of the parents here ever asked me this question..\"why am i the only one here holding the fort\".... LoL...
There are times i am rather discourage to talk too....seems like having monologue....
Don't be discouraged....I am one parent here who is very grateful to you for your selfless contributions in this thread. My dd is in Yr 1 this year and I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks! -
