But 80% of Singapore residents live in HDB. So, it is not proportional?

The question was \"what the average and median household incomes for students who qualify for the DSA scheme are.\"

HSK managed to reply with housing types....

有问必答, no need to take written replies to parliamentary questions too seriously. It’s not a "propagandist" news release by MOE. It came abt cos NMP Janice Koh wanted the stats.

Opp MPs also file questions for ministries to follow-up at each sitting, so their machinery will generate the data and feed them lor. No significance. Just FYI only.

He said ministry doesn't track household income of these students. I think it's too sensitive to reveal lah.

Seriously, there are some who live in HDB with incomes above 10K. They may have bought the HDB when they just started working. Things could have improved along the way.

Doesn’t mean that we live in HDB means we have no money.

Even if the findings show that majority of the kids come from family with monthly household income of $xxk, why should it even surprise us.
