Yes.. No need to buy any assessment books.. The mainstream syllabus is different from RP.. The boys are given so much practice worksheets by the teachers, that they can't even complete all of them (some are optional, anyway)..PiggyLalala:
for sec 1 student, any recommendations on which assessment books are good for the sciences and maths? went to popular and manage to find one math assessment book stating (Integrated Programme) but not for the sciences, so wondering what are the suitable assessment books for the sec 1
Don't need any assessment books. Enjoy the holidays.
Agree. Lots of worksheets given out by the teachers. But do note that for IP Math, they try not to overlap topics with H2 Math (i.e. A level Math). Hence, for those who are on the O level track, they would have learn some topics in Additional Math that are also covered in H2 Math.
Trust the school/teachers to give the boys ample guidance & practice in their school work.. Let your boy enjoy the year-end holidays, before joining RI next year..

Hi! Heard that Raffles Diploma results are out. Anyone with J2 children with stats to share? What % were awarded distinction and merit respectively?
Another question - any idea how many are awarded the MOE Pre-U scholarship each year?
Thanks in advance.

For Raffles Diploma, when does the kid start to apply for them?? I am clueless on this, though heard about it

Hi All, we are currently collecting information to make up our choice for my sonβs DSA school. Would like to check with parents here that do RI have O Level class(es) for students that do not perform well academically in the IP setting? Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

What happens to those who don't do well? Are they asked to transfer out of the school? What about RGS?2Sons:

What about RGS?
These students would be singled out and given extra coaching and monitored closely by the teachers.. If they still couldn't cope, or had attitude problems, they would be advised to transfer to other schools.firefly38:

The Year-2 boys were informed of an O Level class starting next year, during the subject-combi talk recently. No details given to parents yet. -

So what my elder boy heard from his classmate(s) was true. -
