This is a tricky issue. More to do with history than anything else.

Hmm, I learn something new every day. Only did I realise yesterday that instead of 100 BC or 2010 AD, we can also use 100 BCE or 2010 CE.

        :? ?
CE stands for \"Common Era\" and BCE stands for \"Before Common Era\"

For a little trivia, read here

        Something new every day indeed...but historically speaking, 1 BC isn't 2 years before 1 AD either...isn't there a 30+ years in between? šŸ˜‰ :?

Can you enlighten us? This 1BC - 1AD gap should be mathematical, no?

:? I've always thought that BC meant before Christ and AD meant after death...so the 33+ years is the life of Christ on earth?

Must do more research coz I couldn't find an explanation to this although I saw the reference of the dates against a Roman calendar in one of the weblinks.

                  A.D doesn't mean \"After Death\" LOL

it means \"Anno Domino\"....\"In the Year of Our Lord\".

U are confused because u keep thinking it means \"After Death\", so u count from Jesus' death.

1 A.D is the very year Jesus was born, \"The First Year of Our Lord\". The year before He was born was 1 B.C, \"One Year Before Christ\".

                      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anno_Domini

btw, i made a mistake, it's \"Domini\", not \"Domino\"....I must be hungry thinking of pizza that's why LOL

That's my understanding too. And I knew it was Domini, cos I'm not a fan of Domino's, šŸ˜‰
