so far how is the academic teaching in school?
and is there any homework for P1?
and during their break time since there is two, how is those p1 student going to buy food -
hi Beaniecow,
Not sure how to answer u on academic teaching. All I can say is PLVPS has very good teachers (and school leaders).
Yes there are homeworks. In fact, during holidays, they have e-learning modules which they have to do too.
Again not sure what u mean by there are 2 breaks… currently they have only 1 recess slot. The teachers will stand at the stalls to help the kids when necessary. Otherwise, the kids will somehow learn to see the menu, buy the food, time themselves, etc. Don’t worry… in fact, there are still some kids who still open up the wallet and pour out all the money for the stall auntie to take the appropriate amount… hahahahahha.
And as they go along, they will be able to work out a plan to squeeze in time to go bookshop to buy pencils and erasers and also play catching at the field… hahahahhahahaha. -

Hi parents, how are the school hours like? I have forgotten the timings already.
school hours is 7.45am - 1.30pm. But for 2 days, the kids will be dismissed at 2pm.
Oh yah.. someone asked recently about the price of the uniform.
I believe the price for the top is about $9-$12 and the bottom is $10-14? Plus minus ah. The bigger sizes will cost slightly more.
The nametag is $5 for a pack of 6. -
Just to update what is happening in the school lately… perhaps to tease those parents whose kids are joining us next year… hehehehehe.
1) Today the school held their first theatre showcase. As an extension of the school’s speech and drama programme, all the kids participated in this showcase. The respective classes performed a scene from the different storybooks. It was about 1-hr show (from 11am to 12noon) and can see that the kids had so much fun and were proud of themselves after the performance. And most importantly, it was great to see so many parents taking time-off from work to support their kids!
2) The school also has recently selected about 32 student leaders (aka prefects) from the current batch of P1 students. And these students had to attend a ‘leadership course’ at Forest Adventure! Now how cool is that!!! Again, the kids had so much fun and learnt so much from this ‘course’.
Ok… thats it for now. More teasers akan datang hopefully… hahahhahahaha. -
cyranocrash,
you are making me hope that my gal is already in the school and having all the fun…
