Hi. Does anyone know if Founders Day is a compulsory event for all S1 students? And if it's a half day or full day affair? Thanks.

hey, Founders Day is compulsory for all levels. The timing depends, last year we had sch in the day, and founders day was in the evening. 2 years ago it was on a Saturday if i never rmb wrongly. So just wait for the school to give more details and your daughter can tell you about it šŸ™‚

          Hi fatal-illuxions, turquoise, Dharma...

Tomorrow's RGS' IHG. Is it supposed to be a full-day thingy? Will there be lessons after that? Any idea what the dismissal time will be? Thanks.

I asked my DD to bring her camera to school today. Hope she can snap some nice pics.

                    Hi wmd,

May i know why do you expect your daughter to be in a GEP class? I understand she was from (primary) mainstream? I know of students in class 13 from mainstream with PSLE T-score lower than 270 and other mainstream students with T-score of 280 & above posted to class 9 & below.

Any idea how the class allocation was done? I'm very sure it is not based on T-score as some of my daughters' friends with lower T-scores are posted to one of the last 4 classes.

Hi! Can any kind soul enlighten me regarding 2 issues?

                      1) Can 3rd language be used to substitute any of the 7 subjects or are there some subjects which have to be included no matter what ? Eg. can 3rd lang. replace MT ?

                      2) For school-related activities, how or where can pupils obtain the activity card ? How many of these activities do they organise per year and what are some of them ?

Thanks and a blessed Lunar New Year to all of you ! :celebrate:

                        Hi Applecore,

You must include English, Math, Mother Tongue, Science & 1 Humanities into the GPA calculation. You can then choose the best two of your remaining subjects to include into the GPA calculation. You can include French at this point. So to answer your question, French cannot be used to replace MT.
