      My preference is

      Chi

      Storybks
      小二华文课文字词手册 there's one for HCL
字宝宝 know all the chi characters and how to write those characters
作文, select one according to your child's level and one that has 4 pics.
      Chap revision https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_detail.jsp?vca001=267&vpd001=72494
The above is HCL becos dd1 is taking HCL, you can look for normal chi if that's what your child is taking
Oral : if your school subscribes to mconline. I find their content good enough.

      Eng
      Storybooks
Vocab and grammar : I like the series fr Oxford primary essentials, it's a guide cum exercise. The other I like is mastering eng grammar and vocabulary p3. Yes I know it's p3 but I don't find much difference. Though if you are not comfortable then stick with Oxford primary essentials.
Creative writing. Choose one that's close to your child's std.
Oral: same use mconline if the school subscribes. The missing component is spelling and dictation. This can be overcome by revising spelling list and use the reading aloud passage fr mconline for dictation practise.

      Maths

      Andrew Er

If no time for the above, except for oral and creative writing, the shortcut is use top schools past yr papers. Wink wink.

The above are my suggestions. May not totally fit your needs but hope can help you to start.

My target is not 100% or 90% so my list not long heehee.

        tqvm for the detailed info.
for chinese i already have the character cards and will get the 手册
will check the rest of books out.

for maths, the Andrew Er books is it only 1 title / book only?

i am feeling so lost whenever i step into the assessment book section.

I dun believe that there is one book that fits all. You need to first identify your kid's skills gaps by looking at his/her SA/CA results, homework. Then visit Popular and browse all the P2 assessment books under the \"P2\" section. They are properly organised and neatly displayed by Popular, so it shouldn't be a nightmare to find the books that meet your needs.

Some assessment books will be easier than others; others devote more sections to topics your kid will need badly. So you hv to do the curation of books personally rather than take a booklist from others lock, stock n barrel 🙂

For some subjects, you could even select P3 assessment books to stretch your kid:P Sometimes, I don't buy the \"A\" book, cos I know my kid already knows how to do stuffs inside, so I'd only invest in the \"B\" book...

Other factors to consider for me incl: thickness of the assessment books. If it's too thick, like many Popular housebrands, my DS will find it hard to press down the 'bulge' near the spine and will get very irritable! Certain books have terrible layout too-cluttered, not enough white spaces, tiny blanks to fill in, too many colours (Andrew Er's pinkish fonts put me off)...hahaa...Will do anything that will make my DS grow to love his worksheets boy!

the main 'frustration' would be that some books will have the sections that I'm more interested in, but have other sections that I'm not.
and i dun want to get so many books for my kids lei.
and ya, i would like to 'stretch' my kid a bit.

Agreed. I don't like to clutter my study with too many redundant assessment books either:) If u feel 'lost' in the bookstore, why not browse thru their online catalogues first before going down personally? At least u know a particular book or volume (that might/not cater to your needs) exists.

My favourites are the 1st 2:)

I don’t like to buy too many assessment books as we don’t use that many anyway. What I do is make a list of exactly what I intend to look for - specific types of exercises (topical or exam format), level of difficulty (basic or challenging), and how many we can realistically deal with. And when I shop, I stick to the list!

There are a few titles under Andrew Er. The one I choose is

                    Just a note:

The TAS website does not have the full list of their published bks.
