All About Full-Time Maids

I have a relative who is rather old and lives with the maid. The maid has been working there for 8 years. When the maid finally call it a day, my relative started to realise her all her gold chains n expensive cooking wok missing. How it happens remain a mystery, but understand this relative has too much trust in the maid for the past few years together. This maid is a pino. Can cook, can communicate, can do wonderful house chores. Can understand wat my relative think. Too good to believe but unexpected things do happen. I suppose she can build a house with swimming pool in Philippines given all these monies and gold chains.

I don’t buy her story at all. She said her brothers and sisters and mum can’t get the son. The father of her son wont allow. And her friends and relatives advise her to stop calling home because it is affecting her work. She say that is why she decided to surrender her phone to sir.

I asked her. …so means you r not going to care about your son anymore and just concentrate on her work? She says yes. Just concentrate on finishing her contract.
As a mum, will you do this?

I told her I don’t believe her anymore. Gave her two choices: tell me she quit and I will send her home to her son (I told her I don’t mean this in a mean way, but if yrson is really in trouble, u should go home) or show me you can really concentrate!

If you are a maid, will you seize the opportunity to go home? Work close to 2 yrs liao, sure got m

I think you shld not let her decide if she wish to quit or not. You have a upper hand in control. Decide for yourself and see if you wish to terminate her at your discretion. But of course, get a new standby ready first before that. Terminate her with a short notice like 2 hrs beforehand. Engage agent to book air ticket and send her to airport immediately.

If I were you, I will either send her back to her agency or buy ticket to send her home. Nowadays, all filipino maids fear to go home because their government had stringent their regulations which make it hard for domestic helpers to apply to work in overseas. I had employed both Indonesian and Filipino domestic helpers before, I feel that filipino are troublemaker.


Our current filipino helper had been with us for 4 years and leaving us this month end. We have been tolerating with her outrageous acts for these 4 years, we did not send her home due to personal reasons. I personally had wrote her a testimonial which to be presented to her future HK employer however understand complaints from outside the country will receive less attention. Therefore, I had decided to send it to MOM instead.

Friends and colleagues around me are victims of having filipino helpers. Filipiono helpers may seem to be kind and polite in front of you but when they had decided not to work for you, they will start showing their true self and create problems for you. Even our filipino colleagues told me that most of the filipinos are born pretender.

The decision is still up to you. But my advise for you is never trust a filipino helpers, even though they cry and beg you to let them stay. And I will never buy their stories because they have plenty to tell.

Need advice here. My indonesia maid only work with me for 6 months. Recently, she told a big lies that made me worried & confused. Her lie is so real to made me think my house is haunted. I still wondering will they be more acting from her that can cause serious effect. Why miss nowadays is so nasty & terrible???

This one is obvious wat. Many indon have strong believe of these thing and occult. My neighbor had one who came for 6 mth and said similar and one fine day just suddenly lie on the kitchen floor and 'cannot/refuse' to move, got the whole family into a fright. Bought her a one-way ticket the next day and the 'haunting' left with her. Which part of Indon did yr maid come from?

Many yrs back when i had a Indo maid, she also said tt my hse was haunted. My first reaction was \"How can it be?\". Then I got a little worried. My mum told me not to accept what she said. Afterall, weve been staying in the hse for so many yrs, it is bright daylight, and in my place, you can hear activities or voices of neighbours, and when you look out of the windows, you can see vehicles and pedestrians moving around.

I was 100% convinced and I told my maid very convincingly that the house is very fine. After that, she nvr bring up the matter again. :rahrah:

My maid from Central Java. I only afraid she will do drastic or hurrying things to harm my 2 small children. After serious thought, I intend to send her home in 2 weeks time when I can enroll my younger one to childcare
