      CharleneX:
      Hi All

It was mentioned in the subject-based banding briefing held last week that there will be 2 top classes (with higher chinese)
Are these 2 classes \"mixed\" or is there a \"best\" class and a \"2nd-best\" class with students all ranked? Thanks

For all the newbie, my son will be P3 next year. Till now I’m very happy with MSHSP, my son looks forward to going to school everyday. For P1 & P2 their form teacher will remain the same, I truly thank God for that. As my son’s form teacher is one that will encourage and do things out of the box just to get them all interested in Chinese! I was extremely worried at first as my son was really bad in mandarin when he was in K2 but now surprisingly his Chinese got band 1 and is his best subject, including his classmates all improved tremendously! Hopefully for next year he will get another great teacher! Those in P1 next year will benefit as i heard that she will be teaching one of the class in P1 next year again.

As for someone asking abt TLC at bartley Christian church, that Studentcare i will definitely Not recommend at all, as my son used to be there in p1 for 6mths luckily we redrew! Everyday he came back whole uniform black, the centre is very smelly as well, the worst of all is homework all not done properly and the teachers don’t really care. My son’s classmate even got pinch in his ear until swollen, that place only care abt $…but never really help us working parents. Really bad experience with them.

from what i can tell, the top 2 classes are ‘mixed’. I think they choose the top 80 or so kids and randomly assign them to the top 2 p5 classes that do HCL.

I think there’s also a class somewhere who comprises those who do well in EMS, but didn’t qualify to take HCL.

I feel that it’s quite difficult to gauge the standard of the P4 students base on the SA2. The papers were consider "easy" and the students were winning one another by a few marks difference. I am sure the 2 Top classes students are "generally" those are already good in their studies. I think the rest of the classes should be mixed abilities right?

Next 2 years will very challenging for both students & parents. I have heard so much about the "P5 math" & I hope our kids who took up HCL will be able to cope well.

Hi! My son is starting P1 next year and I thought of joining the PSG group… Any parents here are PSG members? Care to share your experience with me? Thanks.

                Dear MSHS Parents,

Can you pls tell me where to sew the name tags on the uniforms or shirts? Just above the pockets or if there is any specific locations/requirements that I need to follow?

Secondly, do they need to wear a tie on first day of school?

                Thanks!

                  Hi,

Just sew the name tag about 1- 2cm above the pocket.

Ties are worn only on Mondays. No need to wear tie if Monday is a PE day for your son.

                  Hope that helps!

Just need to iron the name tags onto the uniform. No need to sew them.

P1 can wear velcro type of white school shoes. From p2 onwards, they have to wear lacked up shoes. Any white socks will do, but cannot be the no-show type of socks.
