1) We did not buy the uniforms during orientation - got it from Finest Fashion instead. We had bought both the normal shorts & gym shorts for DS - gym shorts are supposed to be for PE usage and are used by both girls & boys. So we are told...Got a few questions....
(1) For boys, do they need gym shorts or normal shorts?
When i bought the uniforms during orientation, at first they gave me the normal shorts. Then another girl says it's wrong, for boys should be gym shorts.
So i just want to be sure which is the correct shorts for boys.
(2) What books to bring for 1st day of school?
(3) Does the bookshop sell shoes and socks?

I have all these to let go really cheap as a bundle @ only $30 since my child doesn't need them anymore as we are shifting and she's transferring to another school:

9. HPPS Chinese Compo Pad (Qty: 1 Pad of 27 Sheets)
10. HPPS Single Line Examination Pad (Qty: 1 Pad of 48 Sheets)
Pls Note:
#2-5 are preloved but generally still in quite good condition as some bought beginning this year and some second half of the year ... would rate condition to be around 8/10, some maybe 9/10. Prefer not to deal with fussy mummies as there may be 1-2 very very small and not really obvious 1-2mm stain on the shirts, which can't exactly be seen when tucked in.

How do you find the security guard at school? The lady guard sitting at the gate is real rude. Out of courtesy, I checked with her if we are allowed to go into school to wait for our children having a holiday camp. She just slammed at my face that the organiser should tell us where to go and she is frustrated with parents waiting at the compound. What does she expect when is 30 mins to dismissal time? Simply because I don’t drive in to pick child up?

Can anyone pls advise if there's private bus providing transport to Tampines next year? My kid will be in the morning session and the school bus operator said they don't provide transport to the East. Sigh..pls help.

:yikes: you should have checked if bus transportation can be arranged between school and your residence prior to Pri 1 registration. Perhaps rent a house nearer to Henry park for one year first, to tide over the transport problem. Maybe rent somewhere in ghim moh, while you work out a long term solution.
If your long term solution is to remain in Tampines, then perhaps seek transfer to st Hilda primary. -

She is not in P1, she just been offered a place in HP.
Thought it would be a pity to give up the seat due to transport, hence seeking help if anyone knows there are other mode of transportations ie. joining a car pool. -
Anyone staying in Simei, Tampines and Pasir Ris would like to engage a private bus to ferry your kids to and fro school, pls PM me. Already found a bus operator.

Mummies and Daddies, wonder how does HPPS handle hyperactive children in class? Care to give some feedback? Do they need to attend counselling sessions during curriculum time?
Would the school only focus on GEP classes or will also focus on the rest of the classes? Earlier posts seem to mention that only the higher ability ones are in focus.
