Oh…so the boy I saw today piggy-backed by a PE teacher is your son. Ya, his fall looked bad. Ok, I’m in no position to comment or suggest what you can follow up with the teacher. On your part, you may want to consider taking part in activities that allow you to observe the classmates’ behaviour, ESP that particular boy, to decide next course of action. Just a suggestion.

Hi there, I am a father and eldest son attend to Ngee Ann Primary School.

Just for reference, are there rules for teachers to follow?

The school shows policy and vision for the pupils, but isn’t it first that we have a good school, a pool of excellent teachers, then we can produce good students.

The point is why not first assess the school and the teachers.

The teachers must have some kind of guidelines to follow, may be from MOE.

So the question rebound back, what is the school motto, school vision, school policy for the teachers and staff?

Are their system transparent to parents.

Or just, they are the school principle, teachers, MOR approved them already, slapping this kind of answers back to parents’ face.

I just need to know is there any MOE standards, also on cases whereby teacher handles first aid or emergency… are they up to the job?
Did they go through some kind of workshop, training, a checklist to follow… standard operating procedure, quality system…

          3bagsfull,

who is the form teacher for 1 LOVE? today another bad incident happen. on the way back from the mass walk, my son was being pushed and had hurt his knee, elbow and wrist. I got a shock when I picked him from school, the gauge is stained with blood and poor boy limping out from school.

It's the same boy who did it again. Already 3 incidents with this boy. I guess the teachers had no control over the boy as well. It's the upbringing, i believe. I bet we didnt teach our kids to go out and be a bully and would even punish them if they had done something wrong.

Am very upset and disappointed. The teachers would only say \"accidentally\". But I believe, my son is being \"marked\" already.
          Oh dear, that's really bad.

during the 1st 2 weeks of sch (can't remember which), 1 day my boy came home with some abrasions on his elbow. He said he fell down on his own. but
a few days later, when i talked to him again, he told me some of the bigger size ones in class wld suddenly BOO him from behind and pushed him just to scare him. that's why he got the abrasion that day. I really don't understand why these kids must \"play\" in such an uncivilised manner. 😞

BTW, my son's form teacher is the only non-chinese teacher this year. She seems to be of certain experience and my son told me that she's pretty fierce (just like mommy, he said). So i guess the kids are still behaving in her presence.

Maybe u can volunteer for 1 of the upcoming mass walks and observe the \"dynamics\" between ur son and the classmates so that u know who to zoom into when u alert the teacher?

don't really know what exactly you are looking for but there is this \"The Teachers' Pledge\" governed by MOE

            The teachers' Vision statement is

I believe only Nancy Chen is the most mature form teacher for Pr 1 this year. Which class is she in?
She is definitely the most mature P1 form teacher, she was my form teacher for P1 & 2 when I was in NAPS 20+ years ago.
