Do u ladies feel that post-pregnancy suddenly lotsa white hair \"sprucing all over\" ??? I somehow feel the post -pregnancy effect kinda \"fertilises the white hair roots\" .. urgh !!! Cos for me, pre-pregnancy only 1 or 2 strands....but post-pregnancy, i can't even count how many strands! ! !

So i resorted to colouring recently - once beginning last year..the other late last year...and i realise the colouring resulted in me having \"v oily hair\" ! ! ! In the past , my habit is always washing my hair once a day every morning....and cos i wash everyday in the morning, i don't experience \"oily hair\" but eversince i started colouring my hair, my hair cannot last for a day ... eg if i wash my hair in the morning ... by evening time, must wash again cos oily ! ! ! ie twice a day.... How ????
Anyone experience \"oily hair due to colouring\" ?

Am no hair expert, but it cd be due to our hormones changing that our hair texture and hair colour (black to white 😐 😢 ) differs from what we are used to.

Another possible reason cd be due to the chemicals in the hair products that may cause our hair changes? Or maybe wrong/inappropriate hair product for our hair type?

I also agree it could be a combination of both our hormonal changes + wrong hair colouring product type. Whatever the reason, aging is such a terrible process 😢

Not sure if this bit of info may help. I have been taking Evening Primose Oil for many years. I actually take it to keep my skin healthy and to manage my PMS mood swings. I was sharing this info with a nutritionist and she claims that EPO also helps in maintaining healthy hair.

I wouldn't say my hair is all jet black and glossy but ok lah. No complaints, so far.
I have also been taking EPO for years. How much do you take daily ? In spite of this, my hair has turn pretty much white. EPO did not have an effect on my hair colour. :?

I didn't know EPO helps with hair texture too. I have been on it for years too, primarily for skin. Though I must say that my hair is very black and I dislike it...too dull  So I would highlight it...

hihi... Lovekidsverymuch, KingRascal, CJS and Maisy

Guess, we need all the help we can get. 🙏

Just want to clarify that EPO will not keep our hair black but it will help it to be healthy. I think they only magic to turn our white hair black is to colour or highlight it!! 😛

I used to have jet black hair - but i believe it's due to good genes. My dad had black hair until he turned late 50s, then his hair started to grow white. So, I'm glad that I take after him.

But now, I'm starting to see white hair too 😢 And I'm not even 50s... Like I mentioned, I think I'm peri-menopause, so I believe it's also due to changing hormones and stress!! 😐

For info, the brand that I buy is Efamol EPO. Initially I bought to keep my skin healthy and for hormones balance (it's said to help with mood swings and PMS). However, I later found out that other positive effects include healthy hair and finger nails too.

Btw, the main company Efalex (producing Efamol) also manufactures DHA for kids, Omega 3-6-9 for adults (cholestral, etc). So there's a good range. I buy Efalex for my kids.

It may be slightly expensive (sorry, I can't remember the price now - am not at home so can't check the price), but I have read reviews and testimoninals (online as well as in health magazines) that it is a good brand. So I treat it as an investment for my family's healthy living

You can buy EPO from any pharmacy (Guardian, Watsons...) Sometimes, I wait for Robinsons' members sale to stock up - can enjoy the discounts, mah 😉

ps... come to think of it, our white hair may also be stress-induced. I noticed that I have more white hair in the months leading to my kids' exams. :!:

Thought I'm the only one so free to be obsessed about hair. Have done rebonding (too poker straight) and soft straight (haiz, doesn't last a month) and now gaipping my hair instead, using a hair iron. Very time-consuming!

I thought I didn't have white hair but during a recent visit, the hairdresser told me, I've a few, at the back of my head. 😞 but no big deal, out of sight out of mind.

I also take efamol epo. My current 2 bottles of 1000mgx30 cost $45 and I take 1 daily.

:? not sure why my male colleague takes it but he sure looks young for his age.

Have to because hair is one's crowning glory....

My white hair quite smart now, they like to hide underneath...so as long as I don't push up my hair, I am quite safe.....but this is not going to last for long I know.......
