Pardon me asking this kind of questions as we all know that Bangkok is a shopping paradise but i wonder if they have sectors that have playgrounds that we can let my kid play while I take care of him and the mummy is going for her shopping.

I've arranged a massage place that allow my son to sleep either on the sofa or his pram during our next visit. Just want to make him feel more happy rather than making us happy only

For those who think their kids need a break in BKK do try FUNARIUM. this place is like our explorerkids at Pasir Ris. It is run by Mothercare and very near Carrefour.

We were there in Dec and it was really fun for kids. Besides, its new and spacious.

Thanks so much all for your valuable tips. Really very helpful as i am bringing my 10 months baby on her first overseas trip to bangkok this CNY. Though i'v been to Bangkok many times, i am sure this time will be very challenging travelling with an infant...I don't think there are any nursing room like sg in their malls rite?....Maybe just gotta bf in the toilet...

actually a good hotel to stay would be pathumwan princess. wonder y it was not mentioned here. we stayed at the hotel and basically just headed for the shopping malls nearby and the shopping mall MBK which is linked to the hotel. can access MBK, Siam Square, Underwater world at Siam Paragon etc. So whenever dd needs to nurse, we would just walk back to hotel room. comfortable, safe, and convenient! Its so convenient we hardly even have to walk in the hot sun. The restaurant in the hotel serves a good burger too -so nice place to drop by for supper. one of the tailors near the hotel entrance makes reasonable priced tailor-made shirts. dh made quite a few nice ones there. the cutting was stylish n flattering for the figure. but can't remember the name though.

dun fret - continue bfeeding cos its the best for baby and certainly much more convenient than lugging milk powder along

For me, I like to stay at Arnoma. It’s just opposite the Central world plaza (old name… I just cannot remember the new name). I love the Coca restaurant and Naraya there.


It’s walking distance to Pratunam area (eg. Platinum?) as well as Siam Paragon where they have a aquarium.

It’s also beside Big C. We used to buy cheap baby stuff from Big C. They also sell some local products eg. rice crackers with pork floss that is so much cheaper than those local products store.

It is 4 star but reasonable std.

For those that are visiting Dreamworld do double check before you head out. Our local friends told us its really kind of run down now. Badly maintained, dirty, faulty rides and hygiene level at the "snowcity" not good too.

Unfortunately they don't have that facility in their malls
as yet. Dunno about now lar. I breastfed DD2 while i
travelled to Bangkok and Pattaya. All i needed was a
cloth / thin towel to wrap over my shoulder. Even a
long pashmina scarf will suffice.

At most i do it on the tour coach that ferried us around,
or while we're eating in the restaurants and also some
times just need to get a seating place in the mall to do it...
Certain moments when hubs is off recce-ing shops i just
stay put together with my sick DD1 and the times he gets
tired from all the walking he will be my additional block. :lol:
Put on /Bring clothes that are nursing-friendly and also keep
those nursing bras on. Remember to bring extra breast pads
that are of most comfort to you as you may not be able to
find the exact same type you prefer to use. I never do it in
the toilets. Yuck! Just couldn't bring myself to. :sick:

Hi foreverj, Pathumwan Princess sounds great, will definitely try next time as we already booked Arnoma...haha yeah bfeeding can help travel light minus those milk powder and bottles...i will be bringing only my sarong sling.


Hi Buds, i also find it yucky to bfeed in toilet but my kaypo gal refuses to be covered when feeding, and always got me exposed...Headache..
But i will have many additional blocks :lol: cos going with dh, mil and sil too.
