Try to buy 2 different brands and size is 0.5 difference. Compare both shoes for the durability. When the child outgrows the smaller pair, you still have a 0.5 difference pair of shoes to standby. Then decide which brand of shoes is your child more comfortable with, in terms of weight of shoes, and make the next shoe purchase according to the preference of the child.
Some branded school shoes have good heel support and very suitable for young children to wear.
