beside petrol prices, they also detailed current discount schemes.

Seems that after house discount, only SPC pricing makes a difference...thanks for the link.

you need to add the card discounts. Best discount currently is Citibank Dividend Card at Esso Station ... about 14.x%

Now that you mentioned, Esso usually gives on their own accord 2 $3 coupon for discount when I make payment. I think they give up giving out the coupons because no one keeps it well. I for sure lose it the moment I receive it cos handbag is not big...so terrible right? *sigh*
I just keep coupons in the car, at the same compartment as the loyalty card. That way when I leave the car to pay, I'd whip both up - no need to go searching for the coupon <incidentally> plus now got \"senile moments\" ๐Ÿ˜‰ , often can only find the coupons AFTER I pay up

The efficient part sounds interesting, does it mean that you can run your car longer and no need to pump so quickly? I have the habit of watching my fuel meter, recently I find that it seems to go down quite rapidly even though I don't feel that I was travelling more or further, is it less efficient? :?
Yes, more mileage per full take i.e., need to pump less if you are going the same usual route.

Sometimes fuel consumption depends on the distance travelled per trip - more if it's short trip coz the engine barely has time to warm up and run effectively.

Oh yes, one thing we do is to re-set the trip oddometer to zero after pumping so we'd know how much distance we'd covered with the same tank of petrol. ๐Ÿ˜ anyone else does this?

Shellโ€ฆ 10yrs oredi. 3 cars using same card

No particular reason + the others better offer/rebate etc are quite insignificant to us actually.

most importantly, getting our regular credit card (UOB platinum) can get rebate in Smart$, which can be use at other particupating merchandise.

Using Shell too. 98 & sometimes VPower (for cleaning purpose).

Reason for using Shell is due to we are the AA members & able to collect Shell pts (initially, now they changed to Shell card) to redeem for items. Same as mathsparks, we also use the pts for petrol purchase.

With OCBC at Caltex, it's 17% together with the $3 coupon they give out ๐Ÿ˜‰

I use SPC - out of habit rather than anything. And use Stan Chartโ€™s Xtrasaver - 7% cash rebate on petrol purchases (ALL stations).

BTW, SPCโ€™s card allocates petrol discounts based on past spending. I understand that you can have up to 3 cards per account. So if your family has multiple cars (sister/father/friends), can group together to accumulate your petrol purchases and move up the discount level.
