Is there a way to formally blacklist fdw?

You must feedback to MOM.

Why luan her so long???!!
-
Ya… it’s a amazing you managed to tolerate her for so long. With maids, we need to use our instinct, trust our instincts, and act upon it. I have had to change maids, and I know the nightmare of getting a horrible maid, I know the unethical agencies, I had cried rivers…
While there probably wouldn’t be a perfect maid, we shouldn’t live in fear of our maids … or whether they might ill-treat our children. My maid is far from perfect (just yesterday she badly scratched my parquet floor, right at the entrance of my bedroom!) but at least I know she is mentally sound and that she has good intentions. -

the problem is these maids can do funny things to get a passport.
MOM staff told me UNLESS the maid really committed a criminal act, there is no way to bar them from entering Singapore. -
Dear Harmony and Peace,
I feel for u genuinely..as I also have 2young kids at home, and relying on my maid with no elderly at home to help monitor maid..
Usually, I don't bother to post much comments..but after reading your post, I feel the need to offer some words of comfort as I know how worrying it was for u..
Hope you have found another ok maid, or already found other solutions to look after your kids.
Sigh..actually, the main root of the problem, is that MOM has been over-protecting maids..a lot of them just come and try their luck to 'find' the perfect employer whom pay them to do nothing..with not much to lose on their end
I am super pissed by the mandatory weekly off days..
govt trying to make themselves look so considerate, at our expense..
I am sure all or most employers will agree that if we ourselves find our maid mature and good enough to be granted day off, most of us will gladly grant them, even without deducting their pay!!
But when it is mandatory, we employers have got no choice and see black face everyday even if we pay them to compensate for not taking off days
but seriously, not all families can allow maids to take weekly off days..
For e.g., me and my hubby need to work on weekends, with irregular hours!!
give birth to more children?? sorry, impossible when govt treasure and protect maids more than our vulnerable kids
even a 16 yr old can be killed
sigh..counting down to the day when I can live without a maid, praying hard everyday, that nothing happens to my kids.. -
anyway, just fyi,or rather for govt’s info,
from what I know, a lot of full time maids, have been doing part time cleaning during off days.
I found out when I was asking around for recommendations for part time maids, for my friend (whose full time maid was sent home last minute, also due to threats, and her maid even ask her friend to make 20-30 calls per day to harass and threaten!!!)
So govt’s intention of letting maids rest on off days is being abused…maids go home after off days, feeling even more tired, after running to 2-3 houses to do intensive cleaning!!!
& if I not wrong, if maid is caught monnlighting on off days, WE, the EMPLOYER, AGAIN, get into trouble with MOM!!! sigh…when will MOM wake up??
After a few more deaths ??? sigh… -

I think I read recently in the news that MOM will now include feedback from past employers in their website.POA Teacher:

You can't bar them from entering, but you can warn potential employers (and agents) if it is posted on MOM website.
Although most potential employers do not check on it, and so that will have minimum effect, just posting here will have even less effect. -
While MOM cannot bar a maid from entering, I believe MOM can NOT issue the maid with the FDW work pass so that she cannot remain here as a maid and potentially, possibly cause harm to someone.
Even with seniors at home, it is also very difficult to manage without an additional pair of hands, especially for the heavier household chores.
The consideration about having more kids is not just about money, it is more about the availability of adequate infrastructure to support the decision.
