My DD will be joining Dunman Sec Express in Year 2014 after missing Ngee Ann Sec COP. Any one studying there can share the recent school culture and activities? Missed the open house in Nov 2013. Heard from another tread the COP has increased to 232 this time.

Welcome to the dmn family! My dd is studying there and she is in sec 2 next year , so .. She is ur dd's senior there are many activities in dmn . But the biggest one for sec 1 will be the cultural fusion day after sa2 . The class will have to choose two cultures ( example :Italian and Malay . ) and decorate the class into a restaurant according to Italian and Malay . They will also have to cook and serve the principal and the teachers they have invited into their ' restaurant' it's a fun experience acording to dd .

My dd was posted to Dunman Sec. May I know how is the school there, in terms of students and teachers, environment ?

Also, saw previous post about the shoes, is it true it must be canvas white shoes ?

Any shoes except sport shoes and black shoes are allowed .

Yes , there will be auditions for drama and choir ( there may be some more but that is what dd can remember )

Thanks again A Better Tomorrow. My girl is interested in Guitar but she does not have any background on Guitar. That’s why I am asking whether is there audition.

There is no audition for Guitar acording to dd . The instructors will teach from basic . No pior knowledge required for it .

Dd has some friends in guitar too . Heard that training is 2/3 ( she couldn't really remember ) times per week .
