The sch bus is the mini bus type.

Yah, that’s what I was thinking also…"wouldn’t Mt Sinai be crowded?" Maybe for those taking the sch bus, can ask about the route also. I asked about mine, seems like a slightly longer route, but may have less jam. But I still dun think 10min is possible. hahaha. But my hb more KS than me…he say better to just secure a seat on the bus first…in case wait we want dd to take the sch bus, but no more space for that bus, and dd may end up in another bus that might take even longer to reach home. Hahahahaha…

Perhaps you may put down your name first with the school bus driver on wait list first - inform him politely that you can only make the decision, after 1 month or so, testing out first.

If you try out everyday fetching your girl home (monday - friday) from 6 jan onwards for about 1 month or so, by the end of 1 month -
you'll be familiar with the 6.30 pm road condition, can decide whether or not you prefer to continue fetching yourself everyday, or take school bus, at least for next one year.

Because once those small mini van 11 seaters (come with safety belt) are full house :-
The driver is not going to accept anymore children.
He will ask , \"why you so late ? Sorry, we can't take you in.\"
But at least if you inform him now in advance, the driver at least can still keep you in mind, & wait for your decision after 1 month or so. If the seats are going to be full soon, he will press you for an urgent reply. He will call you, \"The seats are going to be full soon. do you still want or not ? \" Rather than you totally don't alert him at all.

This was what happened to one 2014 p4 Gep student, transferred in from other primary school. The school bus was full.

                Thanks so much phtthp!

Anybody has the dilemma of having to send 2 girls in different sessions? I don’t think I can handle driving up and down so many times a day and all the waiting in between . Decided to let my p1 girl try taking the sch bus.

                  just888:
So the kids are allocated based on their performance in p4 classes and not p3 right?

If yes, can share which are the better classes and so forth.
Yup. Kids are allocated in P4. The best class among the Mainstream classes is 4F and next is 4E and the other classes are almost the same. And of course, GEP: 4P,4Q,4R are the best :xedfingers:
This applies for P5 and P6 also 😉

                      Hi,

May I know where can we get all the details for Orientation day? As I just came back from overseas, I did not receive any letter or email regarding what to bring on orientation day and 1st day of school. I only got to know about it through this forum!

                        Hi Jacjac,

I have the same problem with the books. When I ordered online and they delivered to my house in Nov, about 5-6 books are out of stocks and they told me I have to collect from school bookshop when school starts! I am also wondering if should I go down earlier to collect.

I am also not aware that the photo for report book must be in school uniform. So I guess will have to bring my girl down to take photo one of these days!
