A way for the school to track their fitness level. After all the jogging, a gold at Napfa is not difficult. I'm not sure about the CCA exhibition day. There wasn't one for parents last time. I left it to dd to choose her own cca.

I usu leave the CCA bit to them too. But my girl wants to audition for Badminton, Track, Dance and Soccer (!). I tot if I am given the opportunity, I cld find out more. But I worry she might feel odd if I do go and there are no other parents tagg along.
My older boy was successful into Badminton, Soccer, Track & Field, Cross Country and even choir. I cldn't help him when he asked as I was clueless.

I am wondering why there is nothing mentioned abt laptop this yr. No need for laptop now? 2 yrs ago during e briefing for my eldest dd, I rem there was a booth for Acer laptop.

No wonder my dd wants an Acer, she must have heard it from the senior

Good to select a laptop which is super light if cost is not a factor for consideration. For IP classes, may need to use 3 times a week and for those who walk to mrt stn every day and carry the laptop is no joke.

Hi, any Cedarian can share their experience in the RSP?

The RSP lesson is held once a week, for one period, during curriculum hours. The girls will learn about Southeast Asian history and culture etc. Of course, there will be some homework given, but not a lot.

They can apply for a RSP scholarship later in the year. Selection will be based on overall results, results in MSP and teachers' recommendation. Scholars will be partially sponsored for trips to Indonesia and Malaysia, have their school fees waived and given an award of $1000.

The overseas trips are compulsory for RSP scholars, although all RSP pupils may participate. During the trip, the pupils will be given homework to do, e.g. to write down what they learnt for the day. The pupils will also have to do some project work after the trip.

For the girls taking MSP, they should really take up RSP. The commitment, especially at the beginning, is not heavy and they have the option of applying for the RSP scholarship later.
