Just a gentle reminder for our Ds to bring along a pair of PE shorts & $ to buy lunch for the orientation.
Bringing extra money is recommended, but lunch is provided for the first (Monday) and last (Thursday) days. It is not recommended to bring cumbersome items, as the Sec Ones will be engaged in many activities around the school.
Tks, Q Pan. However, it is specifically stated on the orientation letter that lunch will not be provided on all days of the orientation and the kids are to bring $5 each day to purchase their own meals from the school canteen. Good advice from you that that they shouldn't bring unnecessary items so that they can better engage in the various activities.
Oh I see. I understand that lunch will be catered on Monday and Thursday. In case I might be wrong, it is still best to bring extra money.

I have contacted the organisers of the SOO. Canteen stalls are open, so the freshmen will have to buy their own lunches.
Very paiseh, referred to my experience during my SOO. -
Hi q pan, thanks for all yr advice. By the way, the boys will be carrying their personal belongings with them (eg backpack) wherever they go within the school compound? Just to
confirm that. -

That is for them to decide. Do take note that the holding classrooms the freshmen's groups will be held in are not locked, so leaving their valuable belongings there is at their own risk. Also, no food and drinks (even plain water) are allowed in the auditorium. Therefore, freshmen are advised to travel light.Hi q pan, thanks for all yr advice. Hi, does anyone have any contact for private mini van operators to HCI fr Serangoon / Lorong Ah Soo area?
I have called the Gen Office and HCI doesn't have official bus operators. However, it kindly provided a contact based on feedback from parents but the bus uncle is not able to provide the transport as he mentioned that there's a shortage of mini vans due to high COE.
Thanks :xedfingers: -
