Your son can take bus 105 from commonwealth ave west to stevens road. If he is too tired, he can take 74 or 196 from school to commonwealth ave and change to 105.

Most students stay back in school for double CCAs on 3 days out of 5. Will be wonderful if you can find someone with the same schedule as your son.

1.09 & 1.10 are likely to be SBGE classes comprising of GEP students with about 5 or 6 mainstreamers in each class. Letters will be sent to parents of these mainstreamers stating that they are allocated to SBGE classes due to good PSLE scores. (But I've seen higher scorers in my elder son's batch in 2010 in the other IP classes).

The rest of the classes are allocated at random.

To all yr1s & the mummies n daddies, enjoy ACSI. The school calendar is dotted with so many non-academic events that in a blink of the eye, the school year will be over! šŸ˜„
šŸ˜„ That is so true! My DS joined ACSI last year. I still remember how excited he was with the air-conditioned canteen and classroom, and all his new friends. Soon the year flew by in a flash and he's now in year 2. It has been a great year for him. We see much growth and positive developments in him. He and his classmates are now looking forward to their first OEP trip to Malaysia in a couple of weeks. They like the idea of going on a holiday without parents in tow! So yes, enjoy the school and all the activities and watch your DS grow from boy to gentleman! šŸ˜‰

                  Hi,

I was told earlier that class allocation is based on selection of MT but my son is posted to a class where only 3 students (and he is one of them) are taking HMT. Approx. 30% exempted from MT :nailbite:

The above composition seems odd to me if basis of allocation is based on MT. Does this mean my son is posted to a \"miscellaneous\" class?

                    Hey slim_tay,

Nothing to worry about. Your son is not posted to a \"miscellaneous\" class. In fact all classes are mixed with students taking CL, HCL, Tamil, Hindi or exempted. During mother tongue lessons, the students will move to the respective breakout classes.

I've also heard that this was the way the boys were allocated their classes some 4 years back but it doesn't seem to be the way.

                    šŸ™‚

The school has not accepted any appeals from within the non-IP students. I had checked and they said no appeals to IP. So would the boys be given a choice when school re-opens ?

Well, that's the answer, or THE answer, depending on who answered your call. If the classes are full, they're full. But a lot depends on whether the classes are indeed full...

                      Hi Autolycus,

Not sure if you remember me.... i asked many questions about IB program in ACSI and you helped me a lot. I would like to thank you for all the information. My dd got into ACSI last year and this year Yr 6.

Wish you a great new year šŸ™‚
