During the Parents' briefing on Monday, Dr Hang mentioned that 25 families were not present during the matriculation.

Yes, the 25 could be a combination of:
      (1) absentees from matriculation and
      (2) new additions since matriculation.

Got the information from espace that the Y1 cohort size this year is 151.
151 is one of the biggest cohort (out of possible 170) in recent year. My DD year (2011) was only 129, then later 2 years 13x plus. My DD Y4 cohort (including y3 intake) is only 151 !.

The Math Olympiad Elective is really hot.

Out of 100 vacancies, 83 places were taken up within 40 mins of opening for registration. By the following day, all were filled. :salute:

Err that is not fast enough.
in year 2 , DD was on the computer ready to choose a little before the start time of 9 pm, as luck would have it the mouse got stuck , she had to relog in to espace, took about a min and by then the module was fully taken up, :faint:

So yes faster finger matters šŸ˜„

Hi php, yes all are boys via DSA. Actually 1 girl got accepted too but I heard that she opted for RGS in the end.
It's true. That girl is in same class as my girl. She went to RGS with PSLE score.

May be your finger need to be fast for y1/y2. By Year 3, almost all kind of olympiads training (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Informatics for only those taking computing from year 2, Biomedical etc ) are strictly \"on invitation basis by teachers:. That's means you must earn your right, consistently high score (A, A+) and doing ok for respective olympiads taken.

Some student almost qualify for all kind of Olympiads but they may also have 3rd Language and thus don't have the spare slots. In most case you either take Chemistry or Physics Olympiads. In Y4, Olympiads classes are further trimmed say from 40 to 25. Again you must earn your right.

Lucky got departmental approval, otherwise fingers not fast enough to chop the only time slot left. šŸ˜“
