Thanks for sharing Sisu, my DS only says he has a group project, I didn't ask further as he has always been very independent. I will check with him later today.

I heard there will be no aircons in Malcolm Road when they shift back. It is just the buildings in ITE are inbuilt for aircons but not the buildings in SJI MAlcolm.

Mid 2016?? OMG, it will affect those taking O levels in 2016! Not fair ma.....Should be end year 2015 or 2016, not mid.

Judging from the fees, I believe they would be..

Most independent schools have air-conditioned classrooms, I think (not 100% sure.. I may be wrong)..

[/quote]Well, this IS a different Independent school. They focus on simplicity. I'll be surprised (though happy) if they have aircon at Malcolm Road campus. Not counting on it though.

From what I understand from my DS, there are aircons for classroom in Malcolm Road site for the sec 4, not sure for sec 3 though...


on other hand aircons is good-to-have the school is doing well in other aspect.

Yup, same for Maris Stella High...only Sec 4s have aircon classrooms. I think it's a great idea, albeit one that coddles our soon-to-be men. LOL.

Dear parents of Sec 1 boys,


In addition to the packing list the school gave, here's what I thought of. Not all of these pertain to my son's packing list, but you might find the extended list useful for your individual child's needs:

- slippers
- track shoes and extra socks
- phone and charger
- Ezlink card
- cash
- locker key
- small pillow (for kids who are side sleepers)
- snacks
- panadol / plasters (school first aid kit should have these but just in case)
- insect repellent
- rosary, etc.
- small flashlight
