Schools should take serious action against student intimacy?

Yes, bad...I wonder what is in their brains these days with all the varied exposure. *sigh* Seems to be more exposure is not necessary a good thing without proper guidance. Surprised no one STOMP them? :? Or has it become so common that no one cares anymore? The other day, my hubby took the MRT and he told me he saw something he couldn't swallow. 2 girls kissing and kissing and touching and touching in the MRT. Lesbians?
He said he felt so uncomfortable. Now, would that be worse?

This is another example of what we should teach our children when they are young - proper behaviour when in public places. Some of my friends think that I burden my boys with too much reality but I beg to differ. I rather teach them by pointing out issues and explaining why they shouldn't engage in such activities like smoking, drug taking etc when they are very young. When they grow up, they have an adverse opinion about such vices and stay far away from them.

Yes I think sometimes in public, I may appear like a 'lor-li-lor-sor' mum, taking great pains to explain learnings from what we see. But I believe in the long run, these impressions of 'lor-li-lor-so' mum would turn into good trainings she got when she was young.
Honestly, I also prefer to see parents that teach their children, even though sometimes may be ugly but at least I feel that the children get corrected on the spot rather than delayed and forgotten.

Recently, I attended a teenage parenting talk. The speaker mentioned that it is always important that the children learn about important issues such as sex from parents. Otherwise, they will pick up and learn things from their peers or media, which is far from ideal.
So, I guess ks2me and tutormum, you are on the right track! -

I always tell her when you are abit older, I will tell you and she will say that mummy you will be really busy because you have so MANY things to tell me when I grow older.. Then she will ask what does it take to be older?
