Cancel the workpermit within 7 days before the day she leaves. Because start from the day workpermit is cancelled, your maid is allowed to stay in Singapore for only 7 days.

Its really up to you when you want to cancel the work permit, 7 days before ,few days before and give her the special pass, but when you cancel work permit you need flight details.

Or you can do it on the day she flies off but if Saturdays there is a cut off time like ,cancel before 2pm something like that

She will need to surrender the card at ICA which is after you cross the main police where they see your passport.

her aunty is currently working there taking care of an employer old mother, but the aunty intend to return back home for good and my maid is keen to take over her duty as the pay so much more higher than what she is getting in singapore

though sad but i willing to let her go as the pay is hard to resist for me too.

but the issue here is, i am not too sure if i shld sent her back to Philippines first which she has no intention to go back, she prefer to fly from singapore to trinidad direct. her aunty will apply visa for her to fly there prior to that. she will be paying the airtix to trinidad on her own too..

Whether to send her back to Philippines or let her fly directly to Trinidad on her own $, to me, is a non-issue. I would let her have her way rather than make her waste time and money flying back and forth.
But I do wonder: it that really her aunt? or someone she just managed to get in contact with?

Chix chix, what special pass are you referring to? is it a letter, i am not sure of how to do this, maybe got to get an agent to do it for me.
my maid will buy her flight tix and i will cancel her WP 3 days prior her flight
what else do i need to do?

to me, she does her work properly and her contract is ending, she also let me know 10 months in advance for me to do my planning. i think its reasonable
i only need to find out when is the correct time to cancel her WP to discharge me of the bond.

i heard someone telling me that if i cancel the maid WP, i have to send her back to her origin country and not else where..sorry for my ignorance..

That is so true! its a heartache to see them loose all their hard earned money.

I also see a lot of Chinamen loosing their money at MBS and RWS. $$$ gone in minutes

Hi Chloecube , no need to go agent, they will charge you money for this, its very simple ,log in with your Singpass account. You will see cancel, then click on cancel work permit, when you enter the flight details etc, there is something there to click on called Special Pass if I am not wrong , but don't worry log in ,and you can read there what to do. its simple

that was my concrn too, i had reminded her to check properly and if she is sure to do that
she was quite insistance and trusted her cousin
since she already made up her mind, i cannot stop her
i guess the money is too great for her to reject
