That doesn't sound right. School fees at ACSI are $500 for Years 5/6; $345 for Years 1-4. SOTA's fees are $450 for Years 5/6, $340 for Years 1-4; School fees at SJI are $550 for Years 5/6, $380 for Years 1-4.

Wow, IB is not cheap leh.

Can anyone tell me what are the benefits of IB over A levels that can justify paying high school fees.

If my ultimate goal is to go to the U n get a degree, shld I go for IB?

I just read about IB in today’s Sunday Times. I think I much prefer going the A level route.

Not able to find a online version of the article. The article was highlighting students who did not do well in PSLE (with scores hovering around 200) and yet have done well in IB. It sends the message that even if you did not do well in PSLE, it isn’t the end.

But note that they interviewed students from the international schools, ACS Int’l, HCI Intl’. These schools charge a hefty school fees and not all can afford. There is no MOE bursary or scholarships for students in these schools.

It is indeed a personal preference. I feel the A levels favors the academically strong student.
