After a week (my son is in P1) I feel disappoint with the school administration, communication. Maybe I have high expectation!

Give the school some time to settle down with the P1 children. I have a girl in P1 this year as well. Her co-form teacher and the Chinese teacher have been quite active in messaging us the study programme like what to bring to school and when will be the spelling, etc. However, if you have any further feedback, you may let the teachers know in the parent dialogue session for P1 which will be held on 24 Jan 14. Students are shortlisted and invited to join the E2K science programme based on the students' performance in Science in Pri 3 Written Assessments as well as the student's aptitude for the subject. This is an enrichment programme to cater to high-ability learners in Science. There are a total of 17 lessons spanning across the whole year and it is held on Wed after school for selected P4 students this year. The dates of the lesson will be provided to the students. You may go to MOE website to know more about this programme.

Hi parents, would like to know what is your take of paying for school bus fees and having the school bus service not covering Thursdays 430pm and charging extra for Fridays on 330pm. In addition to all the extra charges in December and June.
Is there any regulation in this industry? -

my daughter only takes schoolbus on Mon and Wed one way and yet I have to pay full fare. Seems like there is no choice. Anyway I enquired about other schools. If stay late, need to pay extra for trip. In that sense, CF operator already good. -

The school give exclusive rights to one sole school bus operator. All parent is at their mercy. I disagree that the school bus operator will not provide bus service for pupils that has school activity. That will means the pupil will have to withdraw the activity if no one at home can pick the child up from school. I strongly encourage you to speak to the school. -

Thanks for your input. It could be the ability and efficiency of each class teachers varies. Some are more capable and passionate, some are not. This is not the first year Chongfu welcoming their first batch of primary one. In my opinion, there is no excuse the Class communication is not effectively communicated.
My disappointment is when I compare my child with my two neighbor children which is in diffent classes in Canberra. I am very impress with how organize Canberra is to welcome their P1 children. Timetable is issued on first day of school. Form Teachers and subject teacher contact list is given to parent to contact if any issue arise. Parent is encouraged to go to the school bookstore to purchase book for their children and discourage during weekday. Spelling list for Term 1 for both English and MT are issued on the second days with all dates indicated. This is what I expected from Chongfu and I did not asked for more. On the other hand, Chongfu is not organize, timetable is not ready till my husband has to speak to the form teacher, her answer was they are still organizing the timetable?! Spelling list - MT is fine with all dates indicated for term one but not the English. Sent an email to subject teacher to clarify some homework matter but hear no reply. in addition, a horrid incident happened to my child with the school bus, did not received an apology from the school bus operator, reported to the Principal. Did not hear back from her promptly. Her VP called to close the case after the 5th day of the incident.
Well, I guess is not the fault with Chongfu but was my fault to choose Chongfu. -

So sorry to hear your unpleasant experience. Apparently, this year, something is not quite right too. Timetable was not provided till a week later. When my elder girl started P1 3 years ago, I don’t recall there is such thing happening. -
