2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

Im in a dilema. I can register my son in my girl's schl i.e. DLS with affiliation to sec schls for boys and also i can register my son in my hubby's schl in ACS. Which schls shld i choose? For the latter, my son needs to catch the schl bus at 530am and back home at 3pm! Whereas the nearby neighbrhood schl he can goes to schl at 7am and back home by 1.30pm or so....

My son is in P1 ACS this year.. it's ACS forever!! My son loves the school. There's just no comparison..

ACS is the better one but distance is also impt. Can you move nearer or ferry the kids yourself? I would choose ACS and move nearer if no property restrictions. Then transfer the gal to a school around there eg. St Margaret's.

The sch that I was aiming for last year had no live display.

I had to call the school after the morning registration to ask the number of applicants and then at the end of the day to ask the total registration.

Some admin entertain. Some just give you a number with no breakdown of the applicants in each distance. So I had to also depend on this forum to find out figures when other parents update too.

We need some advice. We had overlook the PV registration last year due to our house shifting/reno,etc

Our DD will b gg P1 in 2015 and we are staying less than 1 km from Elias Park Pri. However other records seems to show White Sands and Pasir Ris Pri to be a better choice. For these 2 pri schools, we are about between 1-2km away.

Can we register for all 3 schools and see which one we get into?

See which school out of these 3 offer highest chance of entry, then go.

Pasir Ris Primary School- Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing within 1km of the
school.

White Sands Primary School-Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing within 1km of the
school.

For 2012 Phase 2C
Pasir Ris Primary School - Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing within 1km of the school.

White Sands Primary School - The school has places only for SC children residing within 1km of the school. No balloting will be conducted.

if you stay >1km, be prepared that you might not even have a chance to ballot.

Tampines Primary School-The school only has places for all SC children and those PR children residing within 1km of the school. No balloting will be conducted.

i don't really know Tampines Pri or Elias Park Pri sch...so can't advice...

But if you are from Tampines Pri, why not you register in Phase 2A first and later monitor/find out more on Elias Park Pri(if you really think distance is a major factor...at phase 2C withdraw from Tampines Pri and register with Elias Park Pri).
