Hi tansan, yes, please keep us updated of Pro-teach's reply on the nap time arrangement. Thank you!
hi,
Hi there,
My daughter also experienced the same thing and sometime no nap at all cos not enough time. I don't understand why she said no time to sleep?? I feel that at least 30mins of power nap is more than enough as my girl has to wake up everyday at 6am.
Anyway, I have wrote to Pro Teach regards to this issue, pending their reply. will share with you when they have replied.
BR,
Sorry for the late reply. The teacher, Janice frm Pro-teach called me on sat & explained. She said cos the children needs to finish their homework hence not enough time to take their nap. And for those who had finished, they will juz take a short nap on the desk.
She asked me if i want my girl to finish her homework or nap. In the end, i chose homework cos by the time my girl reached home, she will not hv much time to do her homework as she nid to sleep early.
The teacher oso mentioned the kids will gradually used to not taking nap. Sigh, guess i hv to go with the flow... -

Having a daughter who is now in P2 at Palm View, the sad truth is that this is the primary school routine that the kids have to get used to. Shortened or no nap time.. less playing time.. rushed meal time.. etc etc. From my experience.. the kids will get into this new 'life' very fast indeed. They will gradually move away from the kindergarten life and level up to the primary school life. They adapt very fast. It is the parents that take a while to move away from the kindergarten life. Heck.. i tink I will still be in kindergarten mode when my daughter is in P6.. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA -

I am planning to call up Pro-teach today, as my daughter had fever on Monday and she was very tired yesterday. I told her to tell the teacher to let her take a nap but she came back and said the teacher did not allow. I guess I'll have to talk to the teacher to let them know that when my daughter request to nap, please let her do so. She may not need it everyday, but on days when she is tired, I would greatly appreciate that she could do so properly. For me, i'd be happy to sit with her to do her homework when she comes back. I need to check through her homework anyway. -
Hi, WF. I agree. The teacher at Pro-tech since like fierce, my son class Teacher Julie, she did not smile when sometime I go and fetch my son. On Monday, my son knock his head on the chair and back and he was so pain, he raise his hand up but Julie ignore him.So he have no choice, come back home then I apply zambak for him, he was so painful, my heart so pain.

Its not easy to be a teacher. Unlike our times, we were so afraid of teachers and what teachers said we followed. We grew up well. Today, our kids are not easy to handle as they r so bossy and pampered. When they \" complained\" or feedback to us , do investigate. For example, I know my boy always loves to sit at the tip of the chair despite he kanna warned and scolded by his teachers many times. Even at home he does tat. There was once he fell off from his chair. Kids must learn and will learn. -
Yes, is not easy to b a Teacher now a day, my son knock his head on the chair is bcos his classmates did not put her chair properly. I did not blame teacher for not taking care of them, is at least he injured, teacher can apply zambak for him.

If would be good if the teacher could at least check on the injury to make sure that it is nothing serious, no matter if the injury is self-inflicted or caused by others. -
I guess it will take some time for the teachers to understand the individual student’s character. It’s easy for us coz we know our kids best. I know when my son is really having a tummy ache and when it is just psychological. My kids asked me to carry them all the time using tiredness as an excuse… but I learnt how to tell whether they are really tired or they just want my attention. When my kids fall, I will tell them to get up and move on… not make a big deal out of it. Only if they show signs that it’s not just a simple bump, etc will I then check for more serious injuries, etc.
But for the teachers, they face 30 different characters and it will take time for them to fully understand the kids’ behaviour. I’m sure, given time, and with parent’s working with them and giving constructive feedback regularly to them, this will help them to understand our kids better… hence they will be able to manage the class better. -
