If would be good if the teacher could at least check on the injury to make sure that it is nothing serious, no matter if the injury is self-inflicted or caused by others. -
I guess it will take some time for the teachers to understand the individual student’s character. It’s easy for us coz we know our kids best. I know when my son is really having a tummy ache and when it is just psychological. My kids asked me to carry them all the time using tiredness as an excuse… but I learnt how to tell whether they are really tired or they just want my attention. When my kids fall, I will tell them to get up and move on… not make a big deal out of it. Only if they show signs that it’s not just a simple bump, etc will I then check for more serious injuries, etc.
But for the teachers, they face 30 different characters and it will take time for them to fully understand the kids’ behaviour. I’m sure, given time, and with parent’s working with them and giving constructive feedback regularly to them, this will help them to understand our kids better… hence they will be able to manage the class better. -

My son always came back home with a pair of very dirty shoe. Any advice of how to clean it?
Bata sold this shoe cleaner..just brush on and wipe off...but not effectively for canvas shoes. -
hi,
Sorry for the late reply. The teacher, Janice frm Pro-teach called me on sat & explained. She said cos the children needs to finish their homework hence not enough time to take their nap. And for those who had finished, they will juz take a short nap on the desk.
She asked me if i want my girl to finish her homework or nap. In the end, i chose homework cos by the time my girl reached home, she will not hv much time to do her homework as she nid to sleep early.
The teacher oso mentioned the kids will gradually used to not taking nap. Sigh, guess i hv to go with the flow...
Thanx tansan for the update.
Having a daughter who is now in P2 at Palm View, the sad truth is that this is the primary school routine that the kids have to get used to. Shortened or no nap time.. less playing time.. rushed meal time.. etc etc. From my experience.. the kids will get into this new 'life' very fast indeed. They will gradually move away from the kindergarten life and level up to the primary school life. They adapt very fast. It is the parents that take a while to move away from the kindergarten life. Heck.. i tink I will still be in kindergarten mode when my daughter is in P6.. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA
you are right! I still cant adapt to it... lol.. unlike my husband, he can adjust to it very fast... i guess even when they hv their own family, we as parent oso will worry for them..
Anyway, i hereby wish everyone GONG XI FA CAI!!!

just get to know from DD that Japanese food stall in school is closed?! there is only left with Chinese food stall and Malay food stall in canteen. There are so limited of choice for food. For those whose kids are in Pro-teach after school care, do you know what they normally had for lunch? DD told me that she had spaghetti from Malay Food Stall today, and it is just spaghetti with sauce, without any other ingredient like meat, egg, etc. Guess I got to start making lunch box for her again
