The principa’s attitude should be reported to MOE.

Totally agreed that we should report the principal to MOE. How could she asked/questioned about the parents’ qualification.

With the head of school behaving this way, what can we expect the other teachers to do? I am getting worried if I should send my children there. It is the closest primary school, short walking distance.

          Hi,

I am new to this forum.
I am considering to place my eldest girl in Elias Park Primary School coming Jul P1 registration.

From this forum, there have been mixture of reports on the attitude of the educators and the system.

Being a parent, I am sure you understand my concern especially this is my 1st of my 3 kids that I will be registering for P1. Getting it correct is important.

So can anyone share from their experience, does this school really focus only on the top few in the school? Everyone of course wish that their child is the best, however if all is best, than who will be the mediocre? Is there a strong sense of discrimination on child been less bright than their peers?

Also on the part of FT been absent and relief teachers, is that still been experience by parents in year 2012 and 2013? Can anyone share on this? This comment on the educators’ attitude does not seem to paint a positive impression towards our children in the area of responsibility let alone academy learning.

                Hi dao,

It is from there I have received various comments, and it appears to be a mixture with the comments leaning more towards the negative.

So am hoping to get others feedback on this.

Did EPPS conduct any Introduction/Orientation (like open house in poly/uni) for potential primary 1 parents to have a better understanding of the school in the past years?

                      Hi Mummies / Daddies

My gal is now K1… we will be moving to Pasir Ris Area soon this year . I’m now looking around for Primary Schools ( deciding which is better ). From this forum , I can see the principal of EPPS seem not " that friendly" . I was really shocked to hear that she can asked back the parent : What is your qualification " ?? I think this is not very professional … as an Educator , they shouldn’t act / behave this way . We the parents entrust our kids to your school as we hope the teachers can help educate our child better ( teaching morale , education etc ) .

I hope to hear more feedback on EPPS .

Hi, anyone know exactly what happen recently? Heard from a parent that while fetching her girl from school. There are police and police car in the school. Was heard that a P5 student was sent to KKH cos the student was pierced through by a sharp object (not sure pencil or penknife) when the student sat on it. So now police was investigating on it. Heard that the school is trying to cover up. Anyone know exact information, can share with us?
