I hear different things from different pp. Some say HWS takes best care of the top classes, some say not acad focussed kids. I say, no clue. If you see the year book, the top classes look like orchard road on a weekend (I talking about number of pp in these classes); and there are classes that look like foodcourt gathering (ie few kids only). I can only assume that the latter classes are the ones who need loads more help.
Anyway, what I gather is that hws do like 'no kids left behind'. I dun feel stress with my kids in HWS and for that I'm grateful. there will be time enough for self inflicted stress when they reach P6...but for now, I am coasting along.
(correction made to take out one insensitive adjective. I feel strongly that all kids are best when they find their niche, and also that acad achievements may be great in school life, but aint' going to count for much in work life) -
Reiner,
Regarding fri’s mass exercise. I was told fr this morning parents’ brief that P1 and P2 will not have Fri mass exercise becos their PE time increased. P3 to P6, as per normal will have mass exercise. -
After attending today’s briefing, I feel better about the change in P. Though I still miss old P. I’m a sentimental person LOL

LOL, a bit.
Fundamentally not much change, there's still continuity. -
So glad, my kids showed me the holistic assessment framework and test schedule (schedule applicable to dd1) after LNY heehee. At least I get to enjoy LNY in ignorance bliss. I have a feeling they wouldn’t have showed me if no signature was required LOLOLOL.

Eh, btw, I am not on the organising committee. Very grateful that someone coming up with such a ‘lim teh’ session with Mr Ngoh.
I have asked the organisers how we are to make payment (cheque, or if there be a collection booth in school etc).
Will be bringing my family along; but no way am I performing (excuse is too shy but real reason is untalented). Hope to see a good crowd there. Also, excess funds goes to charity…also good also good.
See ya all there! -
btw, payment I hear will be transfer to bank account. Details probably provided after we submit our registrations.

Rec’d this month’s newsletter.
One thing of interest is that school will discontinue ICAS testing from this year onwards.
I was undecided about signing DD1 for it this year, plus not planning to DSA, though also not sure if ICAS carry any weight for academic DSA. So this piece of news, I’m quite ok, though my eyes still lit up when I read it.
