      SOS mum:

Hi, ps help on this S&T qn...Many thks:)

I am not going to bed. I am waiting for my mother to come home.

      ________________________________when________________________________________.

The closest I can get is \"I will go to bed when my mother comes home\"

That said, the synthesised answer makes an additional assumption that whoever spoke this would definitely sleep upon the mother's return, which is not present in the original statements. If my answer happens to be correct then this isn't a very well thought out S&T question.

Noted yr explanation...will update answer upon receipt of marked wksheet fm teacher. :thankyou:

Is the answer "has" or "has had"

        2) Tom barely passed his examinations, …he?

Is the answer "didn’t he" or did.

              Hmm
              1) has
              2) I thought it should be 'did' because barely passed means almost didn't pass right? So its like saying \"Tom almost didn't pass his exams, did he?\"

              Anyone else got any thoughts?

                i’ll pick:

                has/didn’t he?/believing him/taken her dog there.

                Cheers!
